  • Patent number: 11433230
Abstract: Electrical current can be delivered to the skin to treat hyperhidrosis or other conditions using wearable and non-wearable devices. Wearable devices to deliver electrical current can include an inner assembly that carries one or more electrodes and an outer assembly that can be worn over the inner assembly. Contact between electrodes and the user's skin can be promoted using suction, support components, or filler materials. Non-wearable devices can be grasped by a user or otherwise placed into contact with a treatment site for delivery of electrical current to the user's skin. Electrode lay-out for wearable and non-wearable devices can be optimized for current density distribution across the electrode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 16, 2020
Date of Patent: September 6, 2022
    Assignee: PALMM CO.
Inventors: Véronique Paule-Alberte Daniëlle Peiffer, Daniel Elliott Francis, Jarren Armond Baldwin

  • Patent number: 9737702
Abstract: Described here are devices, systems, and methods for treating one or more conditions (such as dry eye) or improving ocular health by providing stimulation to nasal or sinus tissue. Generally, the devices may be handheld or implantable. In some variations, the handheld devices may have a stimulator body and a stimulator probe having one or more nasal insertion prongs. When the devices and systems are used to treat dry eye, nasal or sinus tissue may be stimulated to increase tear production, reduce the symptoms of dry eye, and/or improve ocular surface health.

Date of Patent: August 22, 2017
    Assignee: Oculeve, Inc.
Inventors: Douglas Michael Ackermann, James Donald Loudin, John Wardle, Jarren Armond Baldwin, Daniel N. Hamilton, Janusz Kuzma
  • Patent number: 9687652
Abstract: Described herein are electrical stimulation patterns and methods of use thereof for treating dry eye disease, tired eye, or other forms of ocular discomfort. The methods generally include applying patterned stimulation to an anatomical structure located in an ocular region or a nasal region to increase tear production.
