Abstract: The present invention is directed to a snow melt pad that may include a chemical de-icing composition encapsulated within a pouch secured to a substrate. One or more anchor members such as hook and loop strips may be attached to the back or underside of the substrate. The anchor members may help keep the snow melt pad in place when walked or driven over and allow the pad to be repositioned and replaced as necessary.

Abstract: A snow and ice prevention paper having a layer of de-icing composition bonded to a substrate such as paper, plastic or other sheet material. The snow and ice prevention paper includes an adhesive or anti-slip backing to keep the paper in place upon porches, steps, sidewalks, driveways, truck beds, etc.
