  • Patent number: 11879736
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting degraded navigation sensors are based on a policy derived from a Partially Observable Markoff Decision Process (POMDP). Navigation parameters derived from the navigation sensors are provided to individual Kalman filters. A covariance of each of the filters is indicative of a probability of degradation of a sensor from which the navigation parameter is derived. Outputs of the Kalman filters are provided to a master filter. The master filter is compared to a criterion to determine whether there are indicia of a degraded sensor. If such an indicia are present, the Policy is consulted to determine which of the sensors are degraded. Consideration of degraded sensors when navigating a vehicle is inhibited.

  • Publication number: 20230194728
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a standalone anti-jamming (AJ) nuller-beamformer. Signals from an antenna array include a sum of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals and jamming signals from a plurality of spatial sources. A front end is configured to amplify, filter, down-convert, and sample the input signals which are then filtered, downconverted, and decimated prior to frequency-domain and time-domain partitioning. Weights are computed and applied for spatial nulling of jamming signals in each frequency bin for the partitioned signals. Frequency and time-domain reconstruction generates a reconstructed signal with suppressed jamming.

  • Publication number: 20220018607
Abstract: An apparatus includes a chimney cooler having a housing. The housing includes a base and sidewalls. The base is configured to support one or more heat-generating components. The sidewalls extend from the base, and each sidewall includes multiple channels. Each channel defines a serpentine flow path configured to receive a fluid coolant. The sidewalls may be lofted away from the heat-generating component(s) as the sidewalls extend from the base. An inlet for each channel may be contoured to promote inertial flow of the fluid coolant into the serpentine flow path. An outlet for each channel may be contoured to promote inertial flow of the fluid coolant exiting the serpentine flow path. Channels at and adjacent to primary objective surfaces of the housing may share a common inlet. The channels at the primary objective surfaces of the housing may have larger outlets relative to the channels adjacent to the primary objective surfaces of the housing.
