    Abstract: An IDAS compatible weapons mounting platform for a helicopter, such as the UH-1, that allows two weapon stores, including Hellfire, to mount to each side of the aircraft. The platform is compatible with a broad array of weapons, such as the Hellfire and other smart weapons, and increases the total weapon payload to 1,000 lbs per aircraft side, while having positive safety margins throughout the flight profile.

In one example embodiment, the indicator includes a sensor member configured to engage with the ammunition when more than the predetermined amount of ammunition remains in the container, and configured to not engage with the ammunition when less than the predetermined amount of ammunition remains in the container. A signal generator is coupled to the sensor member and configured to provide an electrical signal indicative of whether the sensor member is engaging the ammunition, or is not engaging the ammunition.

A charging cable is coupled to the second pulley and is configured to couple to and charge the gun upon rotation of the second pulley.

    Abstract: A mechanism configured to be coupled to a gun to electronically fire the gun, such as a GAU-21 machine gun, from a location remote from the gun. The mechanism includes a lifter configured to be inserted into a rear portion of the gun proximate the gun's bolt latch bar. A lever is coupled to the lifter and is configured to lift the lifter and the bolt latch bar as the gun reciprocates during firing. An electronic actuator, such as a solenoid, is configured to drive the lever to responsively lift the lifter bar, wherein the mechanism is configured to reciprocate with the gun as it is firing.
