Patent number: 10172202Abstract: A circuit arrangement for controlling the brightness of at least one LED unit is described by the disclosure. The circuit arrangement, in one example, includes an input for receiving a phase-cut operating voltage from a power supply, a signal processor, connected with the input and adapted to provide a dimming signal for the at least one LED unit from the operating voltage. To allow an efficient reduction of noise in the dimming signal but simultaneously to allow an improved dimming of the LED unit, the signal processor are configured to operate at least in a noise suppression mode and a dimming mode. A control device is provided, connected with the signal processor and configured to set the mode of the signal processor in dependence of the variation in the operating voltage.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2012Date of Patent: January 1, 2019Assignee: PHILIPS LIGHTING HOLDING B.V.Inventors: Dennis Johannes Antonius Claessens, Jascha Van Pommeren, Jan Wojciech Obrebski, Yi Wang, Philip Louis Zulma Vael, Sait Izmit

Patent number: 9938959Abstract: A bearing system supports a plurality of turbine blades; each blade being rotatable about a pitch axis relative to a bearing system hub. The hub, comprising a plurality of static frames having a conical structure including two or more legs with openings therebetween, is connected to a main shaft of the turbine. Dynamic frames include a conical structure and two or more legs with openings therebetween. Legs of the static frame pass through openings between the legs of the corresponding dynamic frame, and legs of the dynamic frame pass through openings between legs of the corresponding static frame. Each dynamic frame is connected to one of the blades and is rotationally mounted to the corresponding static frame by a first bearing unit and a second bearing unit, distally arranged along the pitch axis from the first bearing unit. A central hub portion interconnects first shaft sections of the static frames.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2013Date of Patent: April 10, 2018Assignee: AKTIEBOLAGET SKFInventors: Laurens Verhulst, Koos Welling, Jascha Van Pommeren

Patent number: 8994921Abstract: A scatterometer for measuring a property of a substrate includes a focus sensing arrangement including an arrangement (65) that directs a first beam of radiation onto a focusing arrangement, to be detected by a focus sensor arrangement (61). A focus controller (67) provides control signals representative of the relative positions of the focusing arrangement (15, 69) and the substrate (W), which are required to focus the first beam of radiation on the substrate. An actuator arrangement adjusts the position of the focusing arrangement dependent on the control signals. An irradiation arrangement directs a second beam of radiation onto the substrate using the focusing arrangement, a measurement detector (18) detecting the second radiation beam after reflection from the substrate. A focus offset arrangement adjusts the focus produced by the focusing arrangement to compensate for an offset between the focusing of the first beam of radiation and the second beam of radiation.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2009Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: ASML Netherlands B.V.Inventors: Johan Maria Van Boxmeer, Nicolass Antonius Allegondus Johannes Van Asten, Arnold Sinke, Marnix Aldert Tas, Johannes Cornelis Maria Timmermans, Jascha Van Pommeren
