  • Patent number: 11889339
Abstract: Technologies for mesh path selection are described. One method of operating a first wireless mesh device includes determining, using first client information about a first link, a first metric representing airtime usage on the link, and a second metric representing a first amount of data on a second link, the second link using the first frequency band. The method determines a third metric on a third link, the third link using a second frequency band. The method determines, using the metrics, a first throughput associated with a first path with the second link and a second throughput associated with a second path. The method determines that the third link results in better throughput and sends or receives first data on the third link.

  • Publication number: 20150262424
Abstract: A head-mountable device (HMD) is provided for augmenting a contemporaneously viewed “real image” of an object in a real-world environment using a light-field display system that allows for depth and focus discrimination. The HMD may include a light-producing display engine, a viewing location element, and a microlens array. The microlens array may be coupled to the light-producing display engine in a manner such that light emitted from the light-producing display engine is configured to follow an optical path through the microlens array to the viewing location element. The HMD may also include a processor configured to identify a feature of interest in a field-of-view associated with the HMD in an environment, obtain lightfield data, and render, based on the lightfield data, a lightfield that includes a synthetic image related to the feature of interest using depth and focus discrimination.

  • Patent number: 8449173
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a system that tests a computing system. During operation, the system monitors a temperature of a component in the computing system while running a series of calibrated workloads on the component. Next, the system analyzes a fluctuation of the temperature resulting from the calibrated workloads to determine a thermal performance of the component. The system then uses the determined thermal performance to improve the reliability of the computing system.
