  • Patent number: 11788176
Abstract: A steel for manufacturing a component by hot forming after austenization includes in weight % less than or equal to 0.2%, carbon (C), less than or equal to 3.5% silicon (Si), 1.5-16.0% manganese (Mn), 8.0-14.0% chromium (Cr), less than or equal to 6.0% nickel (Ni), less than or equal to 1.0% nitrogen (N), less than or equal to 1.2% niobium (Nb) linked to the formula Nb=4x(C+N), less than or equal to 1.2% titanium (Ti) so that Ti=4x(C+N)+0.15, and optionally less than or equal to 2.0% molybdenum (Mo), less than or equal to 0.15% vanadium (V), less than or equal to 2.0% copper (Cu), less than 0.2% aluminum (Al), less than or equal to 0.05% boron (B), the rest being iron and evitable impurities.
    Type: Grant

    Assignee: OUTOKUMPU OYJ
    Inventors: Jasminko Skrlec, Stefan Lindner
  • Patent number: 10974485
Abstract: A component made of metallic composite material having high corrosion resistance and scale resistance. The metallic composite material contains as a core material an uncoated hardenable steel on which surface a corrosion resistance and scaling resistance layer is provided using heat resistant stainless steel, and has a yield strength Rp0,2 of at least 1000 MPa and a tensile strength Rm of at least 1500 MPa for the core material and a critical scaling resistance temperature in air for the layer material is at least 850° C.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 31, 2016
Date of Patent: April 13, 2021
    Assignee: Outokumpu Oyj
Inventors: Gabriele Brückner, Thomas Fröhlich, Thomas Nentwig, Jasminko Skrlec, Stefan Lindner
  • Patent number: 10946469
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of welding of at least two metal-based materials (5, 7), non-weldable directly to each other with resistance welding. At least one spacer (6) is joined by welding on at least one of the two surfaces of a material (5) in every interstice between two surfaces of materials to be welded. The welded spacer (6) is utilized so that resistance welding is focused to the surface of the material (5) with the spacer (6) to melt at least one spacer (6) located on the heat affecting zone in order to achieve a weld between the metal-based materials (5, 7).
