Abstract: An apparatus for use in a wellbore. The apparatus includes a locating device having a locating collet configured to engage with a locating profile on a housing and disengage from the locating profile when a first pull load is applied to the locating collet, a delay device that prevents application of the first pull load on the locating collet when it is engaged with the locating profile until the delay device has been activated, and a locking device configured to prevent activation of the delay device until a second pull load less than the first is applied on the locking device for a selected period of time.

Abstract: File mapping and converting for dynamic disk personalization for multiple platforms are provided. A volatile file operation is detected in a first platform. The file supported by the first platform. A determination is made that the file is sharable with a second platform. The volatile operation is performed on the file in the first platform and the modified file is converted to a second file supported by the second platform. The modified file and second file are stored in a personalized disk for a user. The personalized disk is used to modify base images for VMs of the user when the user accesses the first platform or second platform. The modified file is available within the first platform and the second file is available within the second platform.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in a wellbore is disclosed that in one non-limiting embodiment includes a housing including a first location having a first inside dimension and a second location having a second inside dimension that is larger than the first inside dimension, and a seal assembly placed with a sliding fit at the first location, wherein the seal assembly includes a seal body and an inverted seal along an inside of the seal body and wherein the seal assembly is movable from the first location to the second location and expandable into the second location when the seal assembly is positioned at the second location.

Abstract: Cloud protection techniques are provided. A security breach is detected in a source cloud environment. An enterprise system processing in the source cloud environment is immediately locked down and is dynamically migrated to a target cloud environment. While the enterprise system is migrating, the source cloud environment creates a fake environment with fake resources within the source cloud environment to dupe an intruder having access as a result of the security breach. Metrics and logs are gathered with respect to activities of the intruder within the source cloud environment.

Abstract: A method of controlling flow in a tubular including developing a pressure in the tubular with an electric submersible pump (ESP), directing a flow of fluid through a flow control device arranged on the tubular downhole of the ESP in response to the pressure, sensing a parameter of the flow of fluid, and adjusting, in real time, a flow parameter of the flow control device with a coil tubing in response to the parameter of the fluid.

Abstract: A system may detect multiple accesses of an engagement interface from a user. The multiple accesses may include a first group of accesses performed by a first device and a second group of accesses performed by a second device. Both the first device and the second device may correspond to the user. A message may be selected from a set of messages. Moreover, the message may correspond to the engagement interface. The system may identify the first group of accesses as having a greater amount of user interaction with the engagement interface than the second group of accesses. The system may then determine that the selected message has the greatest likelihood of being read on the first device. The selected message may be communicated to the first device based on the determination.

Abstract: A quantum memory system includes a doped polycrystalline ceramic, a magnetic field generation unit, and one or more pump lasers. The doped polycrystalline ceramic is positioned within a magnetic field of the magnetic field generation unit when the magnetic field generation unit generates the magnetic field, the one or more pump lasers are optically coupled to the doped polycrystalline ceramic, and the doped polycrystalline ceramic is doped with a rare-earth element dopant that is uniformly distributed within a crystal lattice of the doped polycrystalline ceramic.

Abstract: Embodiments described are generally directed to a method for applying a composition for managing dysallostasis effects to cannabinoids from repeated administration. The method envisions providing an anti-dysallostatic composition essentially comprised of a combination of phytoterpenoid and phytocannabinoid plus an independently derived phytoterpenoid that is between 70% and 95%, the phytocannabinoid includes THC and CBD. A dose of the composition is introduced to a subject sublingually while in a state of dysallostasis from prior consumption of the THC, the dose is approximately 5 mg of the THC, 1.25 mg of the CBD and 0.3-0.6 mg of the phytoterpenoid and between approximately 0.3-2.0 mg of the independently derived phytoterpenoid. The dose is increased if there is a change from the state of dysallostasis to two doses at a time interval, but if there is not a change from the state of dysallostasis, increasing administration of the composition sublingually to 3 doses at the predetermined interval.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for requesting a plurality of credentials from a trusted entity. A local validation device (LVD) receives a credential request or an identifier from each of a plurality of user devices. The LVD generates or compiles a bundle of credential requests corresponding to the plurality of user devices. The LVD transmits the bundle of credentials requests to the MVD. The MVD receives the bundle of request and performs a validation for each request in the bundle and then communicates the credentials and/or the results of the validations to the LVD. The LVD communicates credentials to each of the plurality of user devices. In some cases, the LVD performs the validation for each credential request. For instance, the LVD can receive a local enforcement policy from the MVD, which can provide instructions or guidance to the LVD as to how to perform the validations.

A requesting principal for the data is dynamically authenticated and a current location for the data is dynamically resolved and the principal is securely and dynamically connected to the current cloud resource and current cloud hosting the data for access.

Abstract: A swirler, such as for swirling air in a fuel injector of a gas turbine engine, includes a swirler body with opposed inlet and outlet ends with a swirler wall extending therebetween along a longitudinal axis. The inlet end of the swirler body defines an inlet opening. A plurality of swirl slots is defined through a portion of the swirler wall that converges toward the longitudinal axis in a direction from the inlet opening toward the outlet end of the swirler body. The swirl slots are radially off-set with respect to the longitudinal axis for imparting swirl on a flow passing from the inlet opening, through the swirl slots, and past the outlet end of the swirler body.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for connecting and selectively disconnecting within a wellbore first and second portions of a downhole tool string from each other. The apparatus may be a downhole tool having a first connector sub connectable with the first portion of the downhole tool string, a second connector sub connectable with the second portion of the downhole tool string, an internal chamber, and a fastener connecting the first and second connector subs. At least a portion of the fastener fluidly separates the internal chamber into a first chamber portion and a second chamber portion. The first chamber portion is fluidly connected with the space external to the downhole tool. The downhole tool is selectively operable to disconnect the first and second connector subs from each other to disconnect the first and second portions of the downhole tool string from each other.
