  • Patent number: 9537977
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to techniques for referencing a change in data utilizing a network resource locator. An interface component can receive one or more requests that are associated with a data set from a client, and send, based on the one or more requests, a network resource locator and at least one portion of the data set to the client. Further, a data service component can compute a parameter that is associated with a change of the data set, and include the parameter in the network resource locator. In other embodiments, the data service component can receive a request utilizing the network resource locator, determine the change of the data set based on the parameter, and send the change of the data set to the client.

  • Publication number: 20160171054
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to one or more computer-implemented processes for collecting, analyzing, and employing annotations of data sources. In particular, an annotation component is configured to receive annotations of data for a data source, wherein the respective annotations comprise different associations of a global terms with the data of the data source, a data store configured to store the annotations, and an interface component configured to render the data based on the annotations in response to a request for the data. In an aspect, storing information, the data also stores descriptions of the data sources and definitions of the global terms, and the interface component determines a subset of the information in the data store based on the annotations. A method is further provided comprising receiving a global term and determining data sources that have the global term associated with the data thereof based on the information in the data store.

  • Publication number: 20160170496
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to annotating data based on gestures. Gestures include user interaction with a client device or client software. Gestures are tracked and associated with data. In an aspect, client context associated with a gesture is also tracked. The gestures are then employed to determine a global term to associate with the data. In an aspect, a look-up table comprising a pre-defined relationship between gestures and a global term can be employed. In another aspect, an inference component employ context information in conjunction with the tracked gestures to determine a global term to assign to data. After a global term is determined for data based on a gesture, an annotation file for the data can be created associating the data with the global term.

  • Publication number: 20160097789
Abstract: A microelectromechanical-systems (MEMS) device includes a driven mass and has a natural stiffness or damping. An actuator applies force to the mass, movement of which is measured by a sensing capacitor. A control circuit operates the actuator per displacement or velocity of the driven mass, so that a characteristic stiffness or damping of the mechanical subsystem is different from the respective natural value. A method of transforming a MEMS device design includes determining an aim performance value of the design and a baseline performance uncertainty of the design, selecting candidate sets of parameter values, determining a candidate, first, and second performance value for each, scoring the candidates, and repeating until one of the candidates satisfies a termination criterion, so the transformed design using that candidate set has the aim performance value and the respective first and second performance values closer to each other than the baseline performance uncertainty.

  • Publication number: 20150259018
Abstract: A saddle on which an individual is seated while riding a bicycle or a motorcycle. The saddle includes a flexible base to support the rider's weight and a stationary nose cap attached to the flexible base. One end of a bumper retaining block is pivotally and detachably connected to the nose cap. A resilient bumper is located between the flexible base and the bumper retaining block. A pair of rails which runs along the bottom of the flexible base is attached to the bicycle/motorcycle. The pair of rails is coupled to the bumper retaining block to push the block towards the flexible base with the resilient bumper sandwiched therebetween. The bumper retaining block can be detached from the stationary nose cap so that the resilient bumper can be replaced by a bumper having a different density to selectively control the flexibility of the base.

  • Publication number: 20150031332
Abstract: The present invention provides a network and data security testing app for mobile devices such as an Apple iPad, which is connected to the Internet via a wireless network. The app downloads and stores one or more network security or data loss test cases from a centralized server, which are then executed on the mobile device. For example, a test case attempts to access predetermined web pages through the wireless network and then determines whether access was granted. In another example, a test case attempts to transmit sensitive data through the network. Results of the test case are displayed on the mobile device and uploaded to the centralized server. The network and data security testing app also identifies whether access was granted to web pages hosting botnets, malicious web exploits, malicious web obfuscation, malicious iframe redirection, and malware files.
