Patent number: 11332013Abstract: A mounting structure for supporting an operator interface of a construction machine is provided. The mounting structure includes an operator console, a support structure extending from the operator console, a bracket rotatably mounted to the support structure, an arm assembly coupled to the operator interface, and a lid for enclosing the operator interface. The bracket slides the operator interface between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the support structure. The arm assembly is pivotable relative to the bracket to move the operator interface between a storage position and an open position relative to the bracket. In the storage position, the operator interface is received within a storage portion and a lid encloses the operator interface within the storage portion. In the open position, the operator interface is moved away from the storage portion.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2019Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: Caterpillar Paving Products Inc.Inventor: Jason A. Patent number: 11130448Abstract: Folding ladder assembly includes upper and lower ladder sections, and first, second, and third linkage assemblies. First linkage assembly includes at least a first linkage assembly linkage member. Second linkage assembly includes at least a second linkage assembly first linkage member pivotably coupled to upper and lower ladder sections. Third linkage assembly includes at least portions of the first linkage assembly linkage member and the second linkage assembly first linkage member. Movement of the first linkage assembly results in movement of the upper ladder section, the second linkage assembly, the third linkage assembly, and the lower ladder section.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2019Date of Patent: September 28, 2021Assignee: Caterpillar Paving Products Inc.Inventors: Brandon Bares, Jason A. Haro, Nathan L. Mashek

Patent number: 10246940Abstract: An access ladder assembly for a machine includes a fixed section, a movable section, a biasing member, a locking member, and a release assembly. The fixed section includes a pair of guide members and a fixed step. The movable section is mounted on and is movable along the fixed section between extended and retracted positions. The movable section includes a pair of sidewalls, and at least one horizontal step and is biased towards the retracted position by the biasing member. The locking member locks the movable member at the extended position. The release assembly operates to release the locking member. A manually engagable actuator of the release assembly may be disposed adjacent the fixed step. The movable section may include rails that slide within a hollow portions of the guide members as the movable section moves between the extended and retracted positions.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2018Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: Caterpillar Paving Products Inc.Inventors: Jason A. Publication number: 20150078824Abstract: An edge forming apparatus for a paving machine forms margins of road paving materials concomitantly with a paving operation. A tube member having a slidably engaged elongated member is included. Lock plates, having lock-plate openings, are positionably engaged with the elongated member. A shaping plate is adjustably coupled with the lock plates and includes offset strips, with apertures, fixedly attached thereto. An offset pin is selectively positioned in the lock plates and extends through the lock-plate openings and the apertures. The lock plates are positionably movable with the elongated member, positioning the shaping plate in one of a retracted position and an angled position. The shaping plate is restricted from substantial rotation through an engagement of the shaping plate with the tube member through a non-rotatable fit between the tube member and the elongated member in response to contact between the shaping plate and the road paving materials.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2014Publication date: March 19, 2015Applicant: CATERPILLAR PAVING PRODUCTS INC.Inventor: Jason A.
