Publication number: 20230405768Abstract: A modular clamp is described. An example modular clamp includes a clamp assembly and a removable base member. The modular clamp includes multiple rotational aspects located an offset distance from one another and is thus usable to secure workpieces in a variety of positions and orientations while providing access for working thereon. The modular clamp further can be used in a variety of configurations and implementations to achieve a range of different working applications, which is not possible using conventional table clamps.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2022Publication date: December 21, 2023Inventors: Jason A. Marburger, Elliott Ian Wong, Shao Sheng Chen

Publication number: 20230001527Abstract: Workpiece tools and techniques are described. In one example, a workpiece tool includes different side panels that provide surfaces for workpiece alignment. Further, a workpiece tool includes apertures that can align with a work surface such as a welding table. An adjustable tool is also described that includes a tool body and a slidable member that is slidable relative to the tool body. The slidable member, for instance, represents a measurement tool that can be used to measure object dimensions. Further, the tool body includes different side panels that are arranged to enable a variety of different usage scenarios such as include different positions of the slidable member relative to an adjacent object and/or surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2022Publication date: January 5, 2023Inventor: Jason A. Publication number: 20220040822Abstract: The present invention has a block with a cylindrical stud and a cylindrical hole. A hex-head screw has a screw head portion, a middle portion and a threaded portion. The threaded portion of the hex-head screw can be fitted to the base of a clamp through the cylindrical hole, so that the clamp can freely rotate, using the cylindrical stud as a pivoting point, and the clamp's location on a welding table can be shifted to provide a proper location on the surface of a workpiece. When the clamp handle is engaged, the cylindrical stud binds to a welding table opening, but when the clamp handle is disengaged, the clamp can rotate as the cylindrical stud rotates in the welding table opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2021Publication date: February 10, 2022Applicant: Fireball Tool Works LLCInventor: Jason A Marburger

Patent number: 11241765Abstract: Workpiece-holding tools and techniques are described. Workpiece-holding tools and techniques are usable to ensure consistent and durable alignment of various workpieces while providing access for performing attachment techniques thereon. In one example, the workpiece-holding tool is configured to allow objects to be held or removably affixed to an alignment surface. Holding objects with the workpiece-holding tool ensures that the alignment of objects with an alignment surface does not change while a user is operating upon a workpiece, e.g., as by joining aligned objects together, without interfering or obstructing access to the objects. The ability to hold objects is enhanced by the inclusion of cutouts that provide increased access to interior surfaces of the workpiece-holding tool, such as to increase the area available for use of clamps or other fastening devices.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2020Date of Patent: February 8, 2022Assignee: Fireball Tool Works, LLCInventor: Jason A. Patent number: 10639757Abstract: Workpiece-alignment tools and techniques are described. Workpiece-alignment tools and techniques are usable to ensure consistent and durable alignment of various workpieces while providing access for performing attachment techniques thereon. In one example, the workpiece-alignment tool includes alignment surfaces that are joined to one another and oriented at corresponding specific angles. The workpiece-alignment tool includes accessibility cutouts and access spaces that provide a user simultaneous access to points around a joint formed by objects aligned with the alignment surfaces. In this way, the workpiece-alignment tool provides accessibility that allows a user to operate upon a workpiece, e.g., as by joining aligned objects together, without interfering or obstructing access to the objects.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2017Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: Fireball Tool Works, LLCInventor: Jason A.
