  • Patent number: 9426156
Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for provisioning a new user to a cloud-based system through a pre-registration process where the cloud-based system generates a tokenized resource identifier based on the user's registration information provided by an external service provider and through a registration process where the user accesses the cloud-based system using the tokenized resource identifier and the cloud-based system completes the registration of the user when the user's registration information in the cloud-based system is verified against the corresponding registration information maintained by the external service provider. Once the registration is complete, data related to the registered user may be synchronized between the cloud-based system and the external service provider.

  • Publication number: 20160227421
Abstract: Systems and methods of generating an RF stimulus signal with different power levels for IC testing. A DC modulating signal is used to power modulate a radio frequency (RF) carrier signal and thereby generate an RF stimulus signal at varying power levels. The DC modulating signal includes a sequence of DC waveforms at different voltage levels. A DC voltage transition in the modulating signal instantaneously triggers the transition of an output power in the RF stimulus signal. Reference waveforms that can cause a known response pattern in a DUT may be added at the beginning of the modulating signal for data calibration purposes.

  • Patent number: 9343845
Abstract: A low-profile, right angle connector assembly comprises six cable connectors and six board-mount connectors housed within a PCIe bracket and EMI shell. The PCIe bracket and EMI shell are braced to a low profile PCIe card. Each board-mount connector is designed to receive a cable connector and allows for the transmission and processing of high-speed data with lower latency. A removable latch mounted on the cable connectors helps ensure the cable connectors remain physically connected to the board-mount connectors. The removable latch may be replaced as needed for breakage and wear and tear.

  • Publication number: 20160063403
Abstract: Vendors and customers join a purchasing consortium which maintains vendor and customer databases, and a product catalogue database. Vendors enter product, product pricing and product maintenance data into product catalogue database. A customer searches the catalogue data base and purchases product selected from product catalogue. The purchasing customer's information from the customer/vendor database, and the product product, pricing and product maintenance data for the selected product or products, are linked to an inventory and/or customer asset management data base, such that the customer can retrieve, use and manipulate the product, product pricing and product maintenance data in connection with the management of the assets purchased. Purchase payments are processed to the appropriate vendor, and optionally a portion thereof to the consortium manager.

  • Publication number: 20160062939
Abstract: Method and apparatus are provided for performing in-circuit serial programming of microcontrollers embedded within the connectors of smart cables. The method and apparatus involve providing a connector for the smart cables wherein the serial programming pins of the microcontroller are brought out or otherwise electrically connected to the sockets or pins of the connector. These sockets or pins may then be used to program the microcontroller directly from the smart cable using substantially the same programming protocols that are used with socket programmers and in-circuit programmers, but without requiring a socket programmer or an in-circuit programmer.

  • Publication number: 20160042032
Abstract: A method used to authenticate an item using an identification tag is provided. At the time of manufacture, the tags are created with various hardware attributes (HA), including a unique identifier (UID); and encoded with a signature of a message that includes a URL, and optionally a serial number associated with a product to which the tag is to be attached. The URL embeds various data such as one or more of the HAs, a serial number, etc., which can be used to verify the authenticity of the tag when verifying the signature. When a tag is read, the message including the URL is recovered and the signature is verified by the processor of the reader. This can be done to ensure that the URL in the message is one designated by the signer. The data in the signature can then be used to verify the authenticity of the tag and/or to detect tampering. The results of the verification can also be displayed to a user, e.g., using an available display on the electronic device including or otherwise acting as the tag reader.

  • Patent number: 9142055
Abstract: This disclosure describes technology, which can be implemented as a method, apparatus, and/or computer software embodied in a computer-readable medium, capable of deforming internal geometry within an outer geometry to account for light bending due to refraction, for example, for real-time modeling of a gaze direction of a 3D computer generated character's eyes. In some implementations, internal eye geometry can be deformed to capture the effect of refraction in real-time such that the gaze direction of a 3D character's eyes can be modeled during an animation phase prior to a rendering phase in the production of a computer generated motion picture.

  • Patent number: 9080323
Abstract: A flush toilet includes a base and a bowl assembly defining a bowl. The bowl assembly is mounted to the base and defines a discharge opening at a lower end of the bowl. A waste ball valve assembly is mounted to the flush toilet for selectively opening and closing the discharge opening of the bowl assembly. A common sealing member operates to seal the bowl to the base and to wipe a ball of the waste ball valve assembly as the waste ball valve assembly is selectively opened and closed. The common sealing member has a generally horizontal portion for wiping the ball of the ball valve assembly and a compressible cylindrical portion upwardly extending from the generally horizontal portion. The cylindrical portion is compressed between the base and the bowl to define a seal therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20150192390
Abstract: A gun sight assembly is provided comprising a front sight and a rear sight that cooperatively define an aiming axis for aiming the weapon. The sights include alignment arms that project in a radial manner from the aiming axis. The gun sight provides an initiative means for aligning the weapon. In use, the user aligns the weapon on a target utilizing the gun sight by placing his sightline along the aiming axis. The user receives positive visual confirmation of correct alignment, when the alignment arms all radiate from a single point (i.e., on the aiming axis). In this manner, any variation from precise alignment can be quickly and intuitively visually discerned by the user.
