  • Publication number: 20240398400
Abstract: Reinforced surgical constructs and methods of reinforced anchor fixation in bone, as well as associated surgical repairs are disclosed. A reinforcement (anchoring device) is loaded onto a fixation device. The fixation device can be a knotless fixation device such as a hard-body anchor, or a knotless soft anchor such as an all-suture knotless anchor. The reinforcement can consist of an anchoring device that integrates with the fixation device, to improve and aid the fixation of the device into an existing tissue hole.

  • Publication number: 20230338019
Abstract: A surgical tensioner and methods for surgical repairs. A tensioning adapter can be removably attached to, and detached from, a handle and/or elongated shaft of a surgical instrument to allow a flexible strand (suture or wire) attached to tissue (for example, soft tissue, graft or bone segments) to be secured to it and tensioned. A tensioning adapter can include a securing mechanism that can capture a flexible strand and lock it into place. A tensioning adapter can include an adjustment device to adjust tension on the flexible strand.

  • Publication number: 20230309984
Abstract: Tensionable, knotless, self-locking surgical constructs and methods for surgical repairs are disclosed. A soft suture anchor and a flexible strand (flexible coupler) are provided integrally, as a one-piece machine taper construct. The repair system can include one or more shuttle/pull devices. The suture comes out of the cannulated sheath and braids to a smaller diameter round suture which is then passed back through the sheath. The braided suture may be furcated or branched to provide a plurality of passing sutures.

  • Publication number: 20200275922
Abstract: A suture passer and methods for surgical repairs are disclosed. A suture passer can position a first portion of a suturing construct around tissue and simultaneously pass another portion of the suturing construct through the tissue. The suturing construct may be a loop terminating in a single tail.
