For instance, response patterns of a user are determined by communication type based on monitoring past response behavior of the user and the response pattern data is stored for the user by communication type. After storing the response pattern data for the user by communication type, a particular communication that is for the user and that is initiated by a first sender is received. A type of the particular communication is determined and response pattern data associated with the determined type of the particular communication is accessed. A response reminder time for the particular communication is set based on the accessed response pattern data associated with the determined type of the particular communication.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing attachment suggestions for electronic communications. For instance, text entered in an interface defining an outgoing communication is compared with file storage information. Based on the comparison, an attachment suggestion is determined for the outgoing communication and a representation of the determined attachment suggestion is displayed. The attachment suggestion may include a suggested folder location from which to attach a file and/or a suggested file to attach.

Abstract: Systems and methods concerning electronic communication reminder technology are disclosed. A receiving device having one or more processors and a memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors, receives a first electronic message addressed to a particular user, from a first sender, and in accordance with a determination that the particular user has not responded to the first electronic message, alerts the particular user, at a predefined time, to the first electronic message. The predefined time is determined based at least in part on response pattern data corresponding to one or more characteristics associated with the receiving device, the first electronic message, the particular user, or the first sender.

For instance, when a communication is received by a communication device, the communication device outputs an alert to notify users of the received communication and accesses one or more images of an area proximate to the communication device. The one or more images cover an area proximate to the communication device at a time during which the communication device is outputting the alert. The communication device analyzes the one or more images to determine whether a user is present in the one or more images and in a position to perceive the received communication. The communication device handles at least one aspect of the received communication based on the determination of whether a user is in a position to perceive the received communication.

Abstract: A refrigerator having a dispenser that includes an outlet and that is configured to dispense content through the outlet and along an output flow path. The refrigerator also includes a detection unit configured to detect user activity that is indicative of a desire to fill a container with content using the dispenser. The refrigerator further includes an optical system that is configured to, in response to detecting the user activity, direct a beam of light along at least a portion of the output flow path of the dispenser to assist a user in positioning a container to receive content dispensed along the output flow path.
