Abstract: Techniques described herein are directed to facilitating social transactions. A transaction of a first user is identified as a social transaction. A second user is identified as a potential participant in the transaction based on a preference of the first user or a transaction characteristic. A user interface of a user device of the first user is updated to indicate that the transaction is a social transaction and to include a recommendation that the second user be invited to participate. In response to input from the first user inviting the second user to participate, a request is sent to the second user's user device to participate. The request includes an interactive element and an indication of a condition for the second user to participate. In response to the second user opting to participate via an interaction with the interactive element, a shared channel is created to facilitate the transaction.

The techniques include receiving a request to initiate a transaction associated with a condition for purchase of an item and causing indicators of user profiles to be presented via a user interface. Input data indicating a selection of a user profile is received and an interactive element can be generated and embedded with data that allows for the user profile to participate in the transaction. Based on sending the interactive element to a user device, an indication that the user has requested to participate in the transaction can be received and payment of the transaction can be facilitated using an account associated with the first user profile, an account associated with the second user profile, and/or an account associated with a service provider.
