  • Patent number: 10170711
Abstract: A thin-film transistor layer, an organic light-emitting diode layer, and other layers may be used in forming an array of pixels on a substrate in a display. Vias may be formed through one or more layers of the display such as the substrate layer to form vertical signal paths. The vertical signal paths may convey signals between display driver circuitry underneath the display and the pixels. The vias may pass through a polymer layer and may contact pads formed within openings in the substrate. Vias may pass through a glass support layer. Metal traces may be formed in the thin-film transistor layer to create signal paths such as data lines and gate lines. Portions of the metal traces may form vias through a polymer layer such as a substrate layer or a polymer layer that has been formed on top of the substrate layer.

  • Patent number: 10169148
Abstract: A method of apportioning storage units in a dispersed storage network (DSN) includes generating storage unit apportioning data indicating a mapping of a plurality of desired numbers of storage units to a plurality of storage sites based on site reliability data. The mapping includes a first desired number of storage units corresponding to a first one of the plurality of storage sites that is greater than a second desired number of storage units corresponding to a second one of the plurality of storage sites in response to the site reliability data indicating that a first reliability score corresponding to the first one of the plurality of storage sites is more favorable than a second reliability score corresponding to the second one of the plurality of storage sites. A plurality of storage units are allocated to the plurality of storage sites based on the storage unit apportioning data.

  • Patent number: 10169150
Abstract: A method includes identifying an independent data object of a plurality of independent data objects for retrieval from dispersed storage network (DSN) memory. The method further includes determining a mapping of the plurality of independent data objects into a data matrix, wherein the mapping is in accordance with the dispersed storage error encoding function. The method further includes identifying, based on the mapping, an encoded data slice of the set of encoded data slices corresponding to the independent data object. The method further includes sending a retrieval request to a storage unit of the DSN memory regarding the encoded data slice. When the encoded data slice is received, the method further includes decoding the encoding data slice in accordance with the dispersed storage error encoding function and the mapping to reproduce the independent data object.

  • Patent number: 10171564
Abstract: A cloud-based system for integration of agricultural data with geolocation-based agricultural operations is provided. The system receives agricultural-related data associated with a given geographic area and transforms the received data into an analysis-ready format. The system processes the received data through one or more algorithms to determine at least one operation to be performed within the given geographic area. The system generates a set of instructions for execution of the at least one operation within the given geographic area as a function of geolocation, where the instructions are coded for direct use by a controller of a specified type of agricultural equipment. The system transmits the instructions over a wireless communication channel to the controller, where the instructions cause the controller to direct operation of the agricultural equipment to perform the at least one operation within the given geographic area as a function of geolocation in an automated manner.

  • Patent number: 10171256
Abstract: Described herein is a system that generates and displays an interactive timeline for a teleconference session. The system determines notable events that occur in association with live and/or recorded content of the teleconference session. The system adds a representation of a notable event to the interactive timeline in association with a time at which the notable event occurs. Moreover, the system enables varying levels of user interaction with a representation so that the user can view different amounts of information associated with a notable event. For example, first input associated with a representation can cause first information about a notable event to be displayed to a user without interrupting a current view of content being displayed. In an event the user wants to view more detailed information about the notable event, the user can provide second input which causes second information about the notable event to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 10165946
Abstract: Physiological monitoring can be provided through a wearable monitor that includes two components, a flexible extended wear electrode patch and a removable reusable monitor recorder. The wearable monitor sits centrally on the patient's chest along the sternum oriented top-to-bottom. The placement of the wearable monitor in a location at the sternal midline (or immediately to either side of the sternum) benefits extended wear by removing the requirement that ECG electrodes be continually placed in the same spots on the skin throughout the monitoring period. The wearable monitor can interoperate wirelessly with other physiology and activity sensors and mobile devices. An application executed by the sensor or device can trigger the dispatch of a wearable monitor to the patient upon detecting potentially medically-significant events. The dispatched wearable monitor would then be capable of providing precise medically-actionable data, not merely an alert that some abnormality may be present.

  • Patent number: 10169807
Abstract: A method selectively modifies an existing production order based on a change request. An order configuration module (OCM) receives order specifications for a second order that replaces and/or modifies a first order, while the first order is being fulfilled. The OCM generates hash tag pairs respectively associated with various characteristics of the orders. For each hash tag pair, the OCM compares a first hash tag associated with the first order with a second hash tag associated with the second order, using an established pattern. If the hash tags match, the OCM includes within a second production order, an unchanged production specification corresponding to the first hash tag. If a match does not occur, the OCM initiates an order reload, which provides, within the second production order, new production specifications that are associated with the second hash tag.

  • Patent number: 10169514
Abstract: A system to design an integrated circuit and a method of fabricating an integrated circuit include performing a design change for a net among a plurality of nets of the integrated circuit. An extraction is performed for the net and includes re-computing values for a resistor-capacitor (RC) circuit representation of the net. Re-computed values resulting from the re-computing and a timestamp of the extraction are recorded. A capacitance value of a capacitor coupling the net with a neighboring net in the RC circuit representation of the neighboring net is changed to be the capacitance value of the capacitor coupling the net with the neighboring net that was re-computed for the RC circuit representation of the net. Timing and noise parameters are for the net and the neighboring net are updated to updated timing and noise parameters, and timing analysis is performed based on the updated timing and noise parameters.

  • Patent number: 10171293
Abstract: A method of initializing, provisioning, and managing a cable modem and a customer premise equipment device includes sending a customized configuration file to the cable modem. The configuration file contains service provisioning information and further includes information indicative of a network address type for the customer premise equipment device. A message is passed from the cable modem to the customer premise equipment device indicative of the network address type. The customer premise equipment device is provided with a network address in accordance with the network address type indicated in the message. In this way, the customer premise equipment device knows what kind of address to obtain, and excessive transactions are avoided.
