  • Patent number: 9898178
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can provide a particular map portion out of a plurality of map portions representing a particular region. An instruction to zoom in, to a requested zoom level, with respect to the particular map portion can be received. It can be determined that a set of four map portions for representing the particular map portion at the requested zoom level is yet to be available. The set of four map portions for representing the particular map portion at the requested zoom level can be acquired. An enlarged version of the particular map portion can be provided, based on the requested zoom level, as a preview for the set of four map portions. The enlarged version of the particular map portion can be provided while the set of four map portions is being acquired.

  • Patent number: 9897603
Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting the locations of individual instances of an analyte (e.g., individual cells, individual molecules) in an environment are provided. The environment includes functionalized fluorophores that are configured to selective interact with (e.g., bind with) the analyte and that have a fluorescent property that can be modulated (e.g., a fluorescence intensity that can be affected by the presence of a magnetic field). Detecting the location of individual instances of the analyte includes illuminating the environment and detecting signals emitted from the fluorophores in response to the illumination during first and second periods of time. Detecting the location of individual instances of the analyte further includes modulating the modulatable fluorescent property of the fluorophores during the second period of time and determining which individual fluorophores in the environment are bound to the analyte based on the signals detected during the first and second periods of time.

  • Patent number: 9897179
Abstract: An apparatus that functions as a linear bearing for supporting a reciprocating structure that reciprocates along a linear path includes a first body including a pinion gear with a first diameter and a first number of teeth for engagement with a second number of teeth that is twice the first number and on an interior ring gear of a second body. The interior ring gear is disposed within an interior cavity. The first body also includes a support member connected to the pinion gear with a crank, the support member being aligned with a point at the periphery of the pinion gear so that it will, upon rotation of the pinion gear while engaged with the ring gear, cyclically reciprocate along a linear path. • Patent number: 9899614
Abstract: Multidentate metal complexes useful as phosphorescent emitters in display and lighting applications have the structures as described herein. Multidentate metal complexes and compositions including one or more of the complexes described herein can be useful as emitters in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), displays and lighting applications, and photovoltaic devices. Generally, a chemical structural change will affect the electronic structure of the compounds, which thereby affects the optical properties of the compounds (e.g., emission and absorption spectra). Thus, the compounds described herein can be tailored or tuned to a particular emission or absorption energy. In some aspects, the optical properties of the compounds disclosed herein can be tuned by varying the structure of the ligand surrounding the metal center.

  • Patent number: 9898655
Abstract: A system and method of for describing target data as a sequence of pattern elements and pattern element groups that comprise an overall target pattern is described. Pattern elements may utilize regular expression syntax along with other metadata that describe the behavior of the element. A pattern element group may be a collection of fully defined pattern elements where at least one pattern element from the group must have a match for the overall pattern to match. Patterns contain both pattern elements and pattern element groups. The general process involves first performing optical character recognition (OCR) on the document, which in turn produces a sequence of text tokens representing the lines of text on each page of the document. The search algorithm may then apply each defined pattern to the entire document capturing and/or extracting data that match each pattern's required elements and element groups.
