  • Patent number: 9473386
Abstract: A distributed system for collecting and processing packet routing information is provided. A service provider, such as a content delivery network service provider, can maintain multiple Points of Presence (“POPs”). Routing computing devices associated with each POP can forward information about the packet routing information to a packet routing management component. The packet routing component can process the information provided by the various POPs. The packet routing component can then update, or otherwise modify, packet routing information used by one or more of the POPs. Accordingly, the packet routing management component can then selectively distribute the updated or modified packet routing information, including the distribution to all POPs, the targeted distribution to specific POPs and the creation of centrally accessible routing information.

  • Patent number: 9472366
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for producing a directional electric field from an end of the solenoid in an efficient manner. For example, voltage pulses can be used to charge the turns of the coil so that the coil acts as a capacitor. The voltage pulses can be of a specified time width (e.g., 1 ?s or less) so as to reduce the amount of current flowing in the coil, and thus reduce the input power used in the coil. The electric field can be used for a variety of purposes, e.g., for charging or communication. An output conductor can be positioned such that electrons can be moved in the output conductor. The motion of electrons can correspond to the communication of data or be used to operate a load (e.g., in charging a device or otherwise providing power).

  • Patent number: 9473634
Abstract: A call center compliance system is used to ensure that agents adhere to call center policies and applicable regulations when handling calls. A call handler processing a call between an agent and a remote party bridges on a speech analytics component. A keyword set is used by the speech analytics component to analyze the remote party's or the agent's speech. If a keyword is detected, an event notification is provided from the speech analytics component to the call handler. A logic script executing in the call handler defines what actions are to occur in response to receiving the event notification. The call handler can provide information to the agent, record a violation, or await further event notifications. In one embodiment, detection of a first keyword in a first keyword set spoken by a remote party causes the agent's speech to be monitored using a second keyword set.

  • Patent number: 9468968
Abstract: A tensioner for strap includes a housing, a battery, a motor, a tension head having a tension wheel operably connected to the motor and a nosepiece having a pinch element. The nosepiece is mounted to the tension head for movement relative thereto. An actuator handle is mounted to the nosepiece to move the pinch element toward and away from the tension wheel. A strap sensor is operably connected to a controller and senses the presence or absence of strap between the tension wheel and the pinch element. A home position switch senses pinch wheel proximity to the tension wheel. The nosepiece is moved away from the tension head to introduce strap to the tool and the home position switch changes state to signal the controller to permit actuation of the motor when the strap sensor senses the presence of strap between the pinch element and the tension wheel.

  • Patent number: 9472455
Abstract: A method is provided for fabricating cross-coupled line segments on a wafer for use, for instance, in fabricating cross-coupled gates of two or more transistors. The fabricating includes: patterning a first line segment with a first side projection using a first mask; and patterning a second line segment with a second side projection using a second mask. The second line segment is offset from the first line segment, and the patterned second side projection overlies the patterned first side projection, and facilitates defining a cross-stitch segment connecting the first and second line segments. The method further includes selectively cutting the first and second line segments in defining the cross-coupled line segments from the first and second line segments and the cross-stitch segment.

An engine with a memory is coupled to the positioning sensing device and to a circuit. A faceplate and a ring, in at least a partial surrounding relationship to the faceplate, are provided. The faceplate and the ring define a cavity where at least a portion of a lock of the lock device resides. At least one of the ring and the faceplate is electrically isolated from the circuit. An energy source is coupled to the circuit. A device converts energy into mechanical energy is coupled to the circuit, positioning sensing device and the drive shaft. The device that converts energy is coupled to the energy source to receive energy from the energy source.

  • Patent number: 9471734
Abstract: Liveness verification of a logic design is performed using various shadow abstraction refinement techniques. An initial subset of state elements are included in the shadow abstraction, and verification is performed (liveness-to-safety conversion) using this initial subset. If a liveness counterexample is detected, the shadow abstraction is refined by designating a second subset of the state elements different from the initial subset for inclusion in a refined abstraction. The initial subset can be designated by choosing all registers in a combinational fan-in of a liveness property of the design. High-performance algorithms for abstract liveness-to-safety conversion can be based upon simulation and counterexample refinement, bounded model checking and counterexample refinement, bounded model checking and proof-based refinement, proofs obtained during bounded model checking of a precise liveness checking problem, a hybrid of counterexample-based refinement and proof analysis, and proofs obtained.
