Abstract: The disclosed wearable device systems include several features for alerting and guiding persons who are approaching other persons in order to promote social distancing. Sensor data from wearable devices that are disposed in an article of apparel are used to determine the presence of a human person within a detection zone around the article of apparel. The detection zone is created based on sound waves generated by sonar-based proximity detectors mounted on the article of apparel. The system could be used to warn a person who breaches the user's detection zone to maintain a safe distance.

Abstract: A user score of a test for assessing a risk of a user of having or developing a contagious illness may be obtained, for each user of a plurality of users entering in a group setting. A group score based on the user scores associated with the plurality of users in the group setting may be generated. The group score indicating a group risk of a presence or development of the contagious illness in the group setting may be communicated for display. Group scores associated with a plurality of group settings may be obtained and communicated for display. A message may be communicated to a mobile user device indicating a group setting as a current high risk group setting, being associated with a score that is outside a limit set by a threshold value and with a location in proximity to a current location of the mobile user device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a hearing aid hearing test and calibration system. An exemplary system includes: a hearing aid that amplifies sound and further plays the amplified sound; and a computing device that communicates with the hearing aid, and performs a fitting process responsive to a user's activation. The fitting process includes: setting a test frequency and a test amplitude; causing the hearing aid to play a sound at the test frequency and the test amplitude; prompting the user to respond as to whether the user is able to hear; and upon a positive or negative response from the user, causing the hearing aid to change the amplitude to calibrate.

A body portion formed as a cup for receiving food has an elongated tab extending upwards to a distal end. A straw mounting recess passes through the tab near the distal end. The elongated tab may be sized and configured to allow the body to dangle alongside a beverage container when the container is placed over a straw in the beverage container lid. The elongated tab may have predetermined folding lines, and the container body may include a connection feature, such that in a second conformation, the elongated tab may function as a closure for retaining food in the container. The closure may allow for retaining the food with a portion thereof visible.
