  • Patent number: 9238159
Abstract: A training and exercise device is provided to aid in proper positioning, technique, and muscle memory for different sports and exercise related activities. The training device includes a cylindrical barrel member. A sled or sleds are connected to the barrel member such that rotation and movement of the barrel member will in turn move the sled or sleds. The sleds are bi-directional such that they are able to move in both forward and rear directions, which will allow the training device to be used in multiple directions without having to reorient the entire device between exercises. The barrel device, sled or sleds may also be configured to adjust the weights thereof to increase or decrease the resistance of the movement of the training device to accommodate for different user's size, abilities, and intended outcome.

  • Publication number: 20110213837
Abstract: A system for evaluating content includes a plurality of client computer systems, each one of the client computer systems configured to perform the steps of playing content on a media player; capturing, while the content is playing, a plurality of ratings from a user, each one of the ratings corresponding to a different play time; and sending the plurality of ratings and the corresponding play times to a media analyzer. The system further includes the media analyzer configured to perform the steps of, from a plurality of users, receiving a plurality of ratings and corresponding play times; grouping the ratings and corresponding play times according to content being rated; and analyzing the grouped ratings. Preferably, the media analyzer can store ratings from different content being played and evaluated simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20060001876
Abstract: An apparatus and method for improved detection of a chiral property of a sample begins with a probe beam of light having a first modulation frequency ? and is further modulated with a second modulation frequency ?. A non-linear photo-detector, which may include multiple detector portions to form a balanced receiver, mixes the first modulation with the second modulation to analyze frequency components at inter-modulated sidebands, where the level of the inter-modulated sidebands are related to the chiroptical property of the sample. The inter-modulated sidebands may be the additive sidebands or the subtractive sidebands. A lock-in detector can be used to receive a signal output from the non-linear photo-detector and generate the modulation signals at the different modulating frequencies. Furthermore, the non-linear photo-detector may analyze a ratio of the inter-modulated sideband levels, such as (?+2?)/(?+?), to yield a signal that is linearly related to the chiral property of the sample.

  • Publication number: 20050160001
Abstract: A method in a computer system is used for providing internet advertising. The method includes the step of providing a host web page that includes both attraction content and a reproduction of a client web page, wherein the client web page is advertised to viewers of the host web page. The attraction content may be any type of web page content that could be appealing to a consumer such as humorous videos, images, or works of art. An address such as a URL of the host web page is then transmitted to a consumer.
