  • Publication number: 20210093091
Abstract: The present invention relates to interlocking blocks suitable for use at the corners of skeletal frameworks in general and especially at the corners of skeletal frameworks to which rattan mats or other flexible meshes or materials may be attached. Interlocking blocks are disclosed that provide strong and stable corners in skeletal frameworks. Advantageously, rattan or other material may be easily affixed to the interlocking corner blocks while the rattan or other material is slack due to the capability of the interlocking corner blocks to be temporarily disengaged from one another. Tension may then be applied to the attached rattan or other material as the corner blocks are brought into a state of stable and interlocking engagement.

  • Patent number: 10127195
Abstract: Selective content presentation for the purpose of self-imposed censoring of content is implemented on an electronic device. The selective content presentation involves acquiring a content suppression preference for suppressing content presentation at an electronic device. Subsequently, a content portion and a content selection tag for the content portion are also received at the electronic device. When the electronic device determines based on the content selection tag that a part of content portion is designated for suppression by the content suppression preference, the part of the content portion is obstructed by the electronic device to form a modified content portion. The modified content portion is further presented to a user via the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20180073719
Abstract: An outdoor patio umbrella has a lower pole, an umbrella pole, a plurality of long ribs supported by the umbrella pole, and a canopy supported by the plurality of long ribs. At least one of the plurality of long ribs has, in cross section, a solid bottom wall, first and second upstanding side walls extending upward from the bottom wall, and an LED PCB extending between the first and second side walls. The PCB is attached to a conducting means, which attaches to a circuit board. The LEDs receive electricity from a rechargeable battery, which is charged by a solar panel. Other embodiments include LEDs for short ribs that connect to the long ribs and lower canopy slide. Additional embodiments include a center LED housed within a lower canopy slide.

  • Patent number: 8909740
Abstract: Systems and methods enable users to exchange content, such as chat text, with other users that are consuming like video media. In one implementation, several users collectively group together to form a video session. The video media played during the video session may be selected by a vote of the users. The users in the video session each consume the same video media, and the video media is played on individual user computer devices in a synchronized manner. The users send chat text to one another over a network using a computer user interface. The chat text is superimposed over the synchronized video running on the individual user computer devices.

  • Patent number: 8542823
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for partially encrypting one or more portions of an electronic file and decrypting the partially encrypted file. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method partially encrypts an electronic file. The method identifies one or more portions of the electronic file to be encrypted. The one or more portions are identified based on metadata in the electronic file that designate the one or more portions to be encrypted. The method encrypts the identified one or more portions of the electronic file using encryption software.
