    Abstract: A system is disclosed comprising an ablation probe and a controller. The ablation probe comprises a shaft including a stick region, an antenna extending from the shaft, and a cooling tube extending within the shaft. The controller is operable to convey first and second flow rates of coolant through the cooling tube. The first flow rate is sufficient to cause the ablation probe to vibrate, but insufficient to cause tissue to couple to the stick region. The second flow rate is sufficient to cause tissue to couple to the stick region. While conveying the first flow rate of coolant through the cooling tube, the controller is operable to emit, from an ultrasound transducer, a sound wave toward the ablation probe, receive, at the ultrasound transducer, a reflected sound wave from the ablation probe, and display, on a display, an image corresponding to the reflected sound wave.
