  • Publication number: 20070108683
Abstract: A portable workbench includes top members, a support structure, a frame, wheels and a toe plate. The top members lie in a common plane and define a working surface with opposing side portions that define clamping surfaces. The support structure supports the top members and permits selectively traversing at least one of the pair of top members toward another to permit a workpiece to be clamped therebetween. The frame includes collapsible legs. The wheels and toe plate are coupled to the frame adjacent to each other. The workbench is positionable in a raised position, a collapsed position and a hand truck position. The toe plate is movable from a retracted position to an extended position to permit the portable workbench to be employed as a hand truck.

  • Publication number: 20070050991
Abstract: A power tool and system for trimming and cutting vegetation are disclosed. A method of attaching a working assembly, such as blade carrier assembly, to a power tool is also disclosed. The power tool includes interchangeable cutting elements that can be readily attached and detached from a main body portion without any preliminary alignment steps. The main body portion of the power tool includes a selectively actuatable motor including a rotary output and a rotary drive element including a resiliently biased drive pin. Blade carrier assemblies are capable of being selectively and removably attached to the main body portion and each include a moveable blade portion having a drive pin slot. Upon attaching a blade carrier assembly to the main body portion and actuating the motor, the resiliently biased drive pin is rotatable to a position such that the drive pin is resiliently forced into the drive pin slot of the working piece to actuate the working assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070044630
Abstract: The distance between the clamps at opposed ends of a shoulder rest bridge adjustable in infinitely fine increments by utilizing a pressure plate which, in an engaged mode, presses a brake member made from an elastomer, particularly soft rubber, against the underside of the bridge body. The pressure plate is actuated by a pivotable latch having a lever and co-operating with a non-rotatable bearing member having a ramp surface complementary in the direction of incline and in pitch with the ramp surface of the pivotable latch. A supplementary camming mechanism provides, upon hand displacement of one of the clamps towards the other into engagement by both with the instrument, an additional motion of the one clamp toward the instrument thus increasing the clamping force holding the shoulder rest to an instrument.

  • Publication number: 20070000138
Abstract: A portable, hand-operated trimmer has a head module that is removably connected to a power control module. The head module has a power head enclosing an electric motor that is operatively connected to a trimming blade. The power head is selectably settable in a plurality of angular positions with respect to a head support, including a neutral position representing 0 degree rotation, 45 degree flexion and dorsiflexion positions, and 90 degree flexion and dorsiflexion positions. The power head also encloses a stator cartridge that is connected to the housing of the power head by a plurality of fastening members. The head support rotates about the stator cartridge and is engaged by way of a movable engagement pin that is received within a selected recess defined in the stator cartridge. The power head housing and stator cartridge further define molded sockets to receive corresponding pivot arms of the head support. An O-ring is disposed about one of the pivot arms to dampen free rotation.

  • Patent number: 7021637
Abstract: A work box to be combined with a work table has a base with at least one extending side wall enclosing a tool retaining area. An interruption is formed in the base to define a gap for receiving a support on the work table. The support mounts the base and, in turn, the work box onto the support and the work table.

  • Publication number: 20050150724
Abstract: A portable paint station that includes a work table and a pair of legs that are positionable in a retracted position and an extended position. In one form, the paint station provides a work surface that may be selectively positioned at two distinct heights. In another form, the paint station provides a work surface with a roller tray recess that may be selectively covered to resist the formation of a skin on paint that is located in the recess. In a further form, the paint station provides a work table with a pair of legs. At least one set of the legs has a handle aperture that may be employed to hand carry the paint station on its side. In yet another form, the paint station includes a roller tray assembly that facilitates the short-term storage of a paint roller that is loaded with paint.
