Abstract: A method, system, apparatus, and computer-program product provide the ability to create a promo. Media items to be used in a promo are obtained. A low-res proxy version of the media items is created and provided, across a network, to an editing application. A promo is edited based on the proxy version and is represented by an EDL. The EDL is transmitted to an approving user. The EDL is then used to dynamically provide the promo to the user using the low-res proxy version of the media items. Input regarding the promo is received from the approving user. Once approved, the EDL is provided to a non-linear high-fidelity editing bay to create a hi-res version of the promo based on the EDL.
