  • Patent number: 11930607
Abstract: A field-replaceable unit is reversibly secured in place using two captive fasteners. Each fastener includes a telescoping knob that rotates 180 degrees in a first direction to engage a latch mechanism and rotates 180 degrees in the opposite direction to disengage the latch mechanism. The knob automatically extends when the latch mechanism is disengaged. The knob alternately extends and retracts in response to being successively pressed when the latch mechanism is engaged. The knob has two cutaways formed along outside edges to facilitate a two-finger grip for knob rotation and pulling the unit out of another module. A circular groove centered on an axis of rotation of the knob has a contrasting coloration and provides a visual and tactile indication of know location. A nub indicates rotational position of the knob.

  • Publication number: 20240076078
Abstract: A corner post application system for a load having corners includes corner post applicators and moveable corner post holders. The corner post applicators include a corner post gripper configured to grasp a corner post, with the corner post applicators configured to move the corner post to a corner of the load. The corner post holders each have a clamp and are moveable between a retracted position and an engaged position, where in the engaged position the clamp is configured to engage a respective corner post to press the corner post against the load at the respective corner. When the corner post holders are in the engaged position the corner post applicators are configured to be retracted with the corner posts being held in engagement with the corners of the load by the corner post holders to enable an enveloping machine to initiate placement of a film over the load.

  • Patent number: 11698008
Abstract: An exhaust device (108) for a vehicle is provided. The exhaust device (108) includes an outer shell (202), an inlet (206) to receive exhaust gases, an outlet (208), an inner shell (204) received within the outer shell (202), a pair of partition walls (216) and a Helmholtz neck (220). The inner shell (204) defines an inner volume (210). A plurality of first circumferential openings (212) extending through the inner shell (204) fluidly communicates the inlet (206) with the inner volume (210). A plurality of second circumferential openings (214) extending through the inner shell (204) fluidly communicates the outlet (208) with the inner volume (210). The pair of partition walls (216) is disposed between the inner shell (204) and the outer shell (202). The pair of partition walls (216), the inner shell (204) and the outer shell (202) define a Helmholtz chamber (218) therebetween. The partition walls (216) seal the Helmholtz chamber (218) from the inlet (206) and the outlet (208).

  • Publication number: 20230122518
Abstract: An exhaust assembly includes a first tailpipe having an exit end and a curved portion along at least a portion of a length of the first tailpipe. The exhaust assembly further includes a baffle surrounding the first tailpipe at the exit end and defining a plurality of perforations therethrough. The exhaust assembly further includes a pair of shields. Each shield is attached to and at least partially surrounds each of the baffle and the first tailpipe. Each shield extends from a first end proximal to the exit end of the first tailpipe to a second end distal to the exit end of the first tailpipe. Each shield engages the baffle at the first end and engages the first tailpipe at least at or proximal to the second end. The pair of shields is adapted to allow fluid flow to or from the plurality of perforations of the baffle.
