  • Patent number: 10786032
Abstract: A skydiving helmet including a helmet shell having a front opening, is provided. The helmet further includes a visor having a lateral mounting section, where the visor is operable between a lowered position and a raised position. The skydiving helmet also includes a visor mounting system laterally positioned on the helmet shell to pivotally connect the lateral mounting section to the helmet shell. The visor mounting system includes a base plate having a cavity formed therein with a locking slot and a guiding section communicating with one another. The visor mounting system also includes a locking element positioned within the cavity and being operable between an extended configuration for preventing rotation of the visor, and a retracted configuration for allowing a frontward translation of the visor, away from the helmet front opening, and subsequent rotation of the visor, from the lowered to the raised position.

  • Patent number: 10467663
Abstract: A financial registry system and method for sharing and contributing to common financial goals are disclosed herein. The system allows one or more recipients of funds to share multiple goals and select one or more products that fulfill those goals. The system allows one or more donors to provide funds or purchase one or more recommended products to contribute to the goals of recipients. An analytics engine recommends one or more insurance products that are best aligned to the shared goals of recipients. The analytics engine combines insurance products with other financial products available from service partners to provide a holistic set of financial solutions tailored to the shared goals of recipients. Furthermore, the analytics engine performs continuous analysis of current goals versus future goals in order to achieve proper goals balance. Recipients can use social networks to invite family members, relatives and friends to contribute to their goals.

  • Publication number: 20190272179
Abstract: Disclosed herein are enhancements for deploying application in an edge system of a communication network. In one implementation, a runtime environment identifies a request from a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) accelerator service to be processed by an application. In response to the request, the runtime environment may identify an isolation resource to support the request, initiate execution of code for the application, and pass context to the code. Once initiated, the runtime environment may copy data from the artifact to the isolation resource using the context and return control to the HTTP accelerator service upon executing the code.

  • Patent number: 10208572
Abstract: Method and apparatus are presented for perforating a subterranean formation so as to establish fluid communication between the formation and a wellbore by perforating a tubular with a mechanical perforator. The mechanical perforator comprises a perforator housing, a mandrel slidably positioned within the perforator housing, and at least one penetrator outwardly extendable from the perforator housing. When shifted axially the mandrel causes at least a portion of the at least one penetrator to extend outwardly from the perforator housing to perforate the tubular.

  • Patent number: 9954807
Abstract: Communication services enable two or more users to communicate electronically using multiple modes of communication. Conversations between groups of users are common, where one or more communications may be exchanged repeatedly over a period of time. In some scenarios, a communication desired to be conveyed by a participant in a conversation may be a simple endorsement, such as receipt acknowledgment and various levels of social activity actions and/or gestures, which may be useful for other participants of the conversation to see as well. Provision of endorsement indications in communication environments may enable the participant to select an endorsement for a communication or a conversation without explicitly replying to the communication or conversation, where an endorsement indication based on the selected endorsement may be transmitted and displayed to the other participants of the conversation through an endorsement module of the communication service.

  • Publication number: 20170271744
Abstract: Embodiments provide a novel fabrication method and structure for reducing structural weight in radio frequency cavity filters and novel filter structure. The novel filter structure is fabricated by electroplating the required structure over a mold. The electrodeposited composite layer may be formed by several layers of metal or metal alloys with compensating thermal expansion coefficients. The first or the top layer is a high conductivity material or compound such as silver having a thickness of several times the skin-depth at the intended frequency of operation. The top layer provides the vital low loss performance and high Q-factor required for such filter structures while the subsequent compound layers provide the mechanical strength.

  • Patent number: 9590318
Abstract: A modular high power, low passive intermodulation, active, universal, distributed antenna system interface tray that includes one or more front-end RF frequency duplexers instead of a high power, low passive intermodulation attenuator to achieve superior FIM performance. A cable switch matrix allows for the use of the system among varying power levels* and accomplishes the above in a modular architecture.
