  • Patent number: 11750583
Abstract: A provisioning client obtains an identifier from a public server and a one-time password from a trusted server. The provisioning client combines the one-time password with the identifier to create an activation code for a client device and presents the activation code to the client device. The activation code enables the client device to download trusted cryptographic information from the trusted server in a communication session that is secured using the one-time password.

Date of Patent: September 5, 2023
    Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.

  • Patent number: 11265302
Abstract: A trusted server receives a request for an activation code, which includes an identifier associated with the trusted server and a one-time password, for a client device. The trusted server obtains the identifier from a public server, generates the one-time password, and combines the one-time password with the identifier to create the activation code. The trusted server provides the activation code to a provisioning client, which presents the activation code to the client device. The trusted server and client device secure a communication session using the one-time password as a shared secret. The trusted server downloads trusted cryptographic information to the client device over the secure communication session.

  • Patent number: 10382413
Abstract: A client device bootstraps against a trusted server by obtaining an activation code that includes an identifier and a one time password. The client device sends a message to a public server requesting an address of a trusted server associated with the identifier. The client device receives the address of the trusted server from the public server and initiates a communication session with the trusted server at the address provided by the public server. The one time password is used as a shared secret to secure the communication session. The client device downloads cryptographic information from the trusted server.

  • Patent number: 9544349
Abstract: Multicast media notifications are provided when unicast media encoders are unavailable to serve endpoints that send a communication session request to a call control device. When the call control device receives a communication session request from an endpoint, a determination is made as to whether any one of a plurality of unicast media encoders is available for the communication session request. When it is determined that none of the plurality of unicast media encoders is available, the endpoint is connected to a multicast media encoder that presents a multicast media notification to the endpoint. The multicast media encoder generates a video keyframe associated with the multicast media notification, synchronizes the video keyframe to a starting point of audio, and outputs the synchronized video keyframe.

  • Patent number: 5905712
Abstract: A data communication network having a number of end stations connected together for data communication therebetween. At least one network interconnect device receives and transmits data packets. The network interconnect device further includes a memory and a processor, each end station and network interconnect device being adapted to transmit data in accordance with a protocol in which copies of a route recording data packet are transmitted along multiple routes through the network. The memory of the network interconnect device is adapted to store information relating to the manner in which route recording data packets reach the network interconnect device.
