  • Patent number: 10995864
Abstract: A rotary valve is provided for use in highly corrosive and abrasive applications. The valve includes a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, and a valve interior in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The valve also includes a ball element disposed within the valve interior via a valve stem to control fluid flow through the valve, and a valve seat to sealingly engage the ball element. The ball element includes a body having an outside portion, a bore disposed through a center portion of the body, and at least one brace disposed between the bore and the outside portion to strengthen the ball element during highly corrosive and abrasive applications of the valve.

  • Patent number: 9086702
Abstract: Pressure-balanced fluid pressure regulators are described. An example fluid regulator includes a fluid flow control member disposed within a fluid flow passageway of a valve body and moves relative to a seat ring to modulate fluid flow through the fluid flow passageway. A valve stem couples the fluid flow control member to an actuator. The valve stem has a pathway to allow fluid from an inlet of the fluid flow passageway to flow across the flow control member between a first side of the flow control member and a second side of the flow control member opposite the first side to pressure-balance the fluid flow control member.

  • Publication number: 20100276614
Abstract: Modular in-line fluid regulators are described. An example fluid regulator apparatus includes a fluid regulator comprising a body defining a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet. The fluid inlet port is configured to interchangeably receive a coupling associated with one-stage fluid regulation or a modular in-line fluid regulator associated with two-stage fluid regulation. The modular in-line fluid regulator is configured to be positioned substantially within the fluid inlet port to change the fluid regulator apparatus from a one-stage fluid regulator to a two-stage fluid regulator. The fluid regulator apparatus includes a diaphragm operatively coupled to a valve assembly to control a flow of fluid through the valve assembly based on a pressure of the fluid outlet.

  • Publication number: 20090071548
Abstract: Modular in-line fluid regulators are described. One described example modular fluid regulator apparatus includes a body having a fluid inlet and a threaded outer surface to engage a threaded opening in another fluid regulator to serially fluidly couple first and second fluid regulators. The example fluid regulator apparatus also includes valve to control a flow of fluid through the first fluid regulator, and a pressure sensing member operatively coupled to the valve to control a position of the valve to provide a regulated output pressure at an outlet of the first fluid regulator. The pressure sensing member and the valve are configured to be received in a cavity of the second fluid regulator adjacent the threaded opening.
