  • Patent number: 11110566
Abstract: A device and system are disclosed to clean the interior of tubes in air-cooled heat exchangers. The device is attached at each end of a tube by electromagnetism; either directly to a ferromagnetic tube header, or to a ferromagnetic plate secured to a non-ferromagnetic plug-type header or to a plate-type header of any metal. High pressure air with entrained dry finely-divided abrasive is conducted through a nozzle supported by the device. At the other end of the tube, another device supports a nozzle that captures the air, spent abrasive, and removed material. Spent abrasive and removed material are separated by filtration from the air before the air is exhausted to the environment. Tubes are cleaned to a bright metal condition, suitable for inspection or application of a corrosion-resistant coating, or to a lesser level of cleanliness appropriate for return to service.

  • Publication number: 20190039209
Abstract: A device, system, and method is disclosed for cleaning the interior of the tubes in air-cooled heat exchangers. The tubes are cleaned using dry finely divided abrasive entrained in high pressure air blasted through the tube to remove any accumulation in the tube or on the tube walls resulting in a bright metal condition suitable for inspection by the Internal Rotary Inspection System, or application of a corrosion-resistant coating, or a lesser level of cleanliness appropriate for return to service. The device is electromagnetically attached to the outside of a ferromagnetic tube header, or to a ferromagnetic plate secured to the outside of a non-ferromagnetic plug-type header or a plate-type header of any material, to temporarily secure a grit-resistant nozzle assembly and position the nozzle for proper application of the high pressure air and entrained abrasive to facilitate cleaning, avoid tube damage, and provide for operator safety.

  • Patent number: 8219902
Abstract: A system and method may include a device, e.g., a cellular telephone, and a server providing for remotely updating display pages of the device. The server may: provide for display of a webpage including a first section having a visual replication of a display page of the device and a second section including a plurality of graphical objects, the webpage including interactive functionality for modification of the visual replication in response to a drag-and-drop operation of one of the plurality of graphical objects to a position in the visual replication; and, responsive to receipt of an instruction to permanently set the modification, transmit a synchronization message to the device indicating an association of the one of the plurality of graphical objects with the position. In accordance with the synchronization message, the device may update a data store used by the device for generating the display page.
