Abstract: A system for combining a payment mechanism with an offer to a consumer is described. The system includes a virtual payment account number generation engine to generate virtual payment account numbers that can be used by a consumer in a payment transaction at a merchant, the virtual payment account number generation service also operable to take a portion of the virtual payment account number and send it as a checkout code to a consumer using the consumer's mobile device, and an offer generation engine used to set rules for an offer to be sent to consumers, create a fund for the offer, and determine individual consumer's eligibility for the offer. The offer is associated with the checkout code such that the offer is processed as part of the payment during the payment transaction using the virtual payment account number.

Abstract: An automated package delivery system for receipt, storage and delivery of packages to customers. A facility unit body provides secure internal storage for an automatic package receiver and a distributor service module. Individual packages have package specific identifying information. The service module is in two-way communication with higher level components via a computing device. Higher level components include a cloud server and an external database. The computing device receives and transmits the package specific identifying information to the external database via the cloud server for storage in the external database, receives an input for delivery of a package, retrieves package specific identifying information from the external database via the cloud server, uses the retrieved information to retrieve the package, and releases the selected for pick-up by or delivery to a customer. Methods of using the system to deliver packages to a customer for pick-up are provided.

Abstract: An automated retail facility and system with accompanying methods comprising customer interfacing modules, payment receiving modules, product storage and distribution modules, and computer components in communication with device actors that automate connected components of the facility and system in an Internet of Things configuration. The configuration advantageously allows for remote operation of that facility, while maintaining required levels of customer service and supervisory actions within the facility, as needed. To service the system remotely or on location, a handheld inventory management device and inventory management vehicle are provided. To enhance available services, an automatic package receiver/distributor service module is integrated in some embodiments.

Abstract: Building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems provide for solar panel arrays that can be aesthetically pleasing and appear seamless to an observer. BIPV systems can have photovoltaic (PV) modules configured to be installed to have an appearance similar to traditional roof tiles or slate. Such tiling format PV modules have a number of solar cells appropriate to the surface area and scale of the PV modules. Non-PV tiles can be deployed alongside tiling format PV modules as part of the overall roof surface. Metal pans supporting tiling format PV modules and non-PV tile components of similar size or surface area have a functional advantage in that more areas of a roof installation can be covered by the tiling format PV modules. In some configurations, the appearance of BIPV systems can be particularly aesthetically pleasing and generally seamless to an observer.
