  • Publication number: 20190110749
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for methods and an apparatus to provide an adhesive securing patch to keep a monitoring system or other apparatus pressed against a body part. Generally, a wearable medical device is pressed against or into a patient. A first flexible substrate layer is applied to the wearable medical device to secure it against the patient's skin. The flexibility of this substrate layer creates a cavity for any supracutaneous portion of the medical device. A second adhesive substrate layer is applied to secure the first substrate layer, as well as to provide a visual display, such as medical information or an image. A third, larger, transparent substrate layer is applied to secure the first and second substrate layers and to allow for exterior viewing of the visual display of the second substrate layer.

  • Publication number: 20060137002
Abstract: A system, method and computer program for routing a response message packet. The response message packet is a response to a request message packet which traveled along an outbound path from a source computer to a destination computer. The outbound path comprises a first firewall for the source computer and a first router coupled to the first firewall. In response to the first firewall receiving the request message packet, the firewall broadcasts to a first plurality of peer firewall(s) and/or router(s) a session of the request message packet and an identity of the first firewall. In response, the first plurality of peer firewall(s) and/or router(s) records the session of the request message packet and that the first firewall was a first hop in the outbound path. The first firewall forwards the request message packet to the first router. In response, the first router broadcasts to a second plurality of peer firewall(s) and/or router(s) a session of the message packet and an identity of the first router.

  • Publication number: 20050102676
Abstract: A system, method and program product for operating a cluster of servers. A load balancer, separate from the servers, selects servers to handle respective work requests assigned to the cluster based on a load balancing algorithm, and sends the work requests to the selected servers. The load balancer receives a request from another server not currently a member of the cluster. The request requests that the other server become a member of the cluster to handle work requests. In response to the request, the load balancer joins the other server as a member of the cluster to handle some work requests subsequently assigned to the cluster. The other server specifies to the load balancer a load threshold for the other server. The other server specifies to the load balancer a time-out to be used for the other server. The time-out indicates a time allotted for the other server to send a hello message since sending a previous hello message.
