    Abstract: A portable ceiling joist support system is described. In some examples, a portable ceiling joist support system can include a first shaft equipped with a first slot and a first aperture, wherein each end of the first shaft is attached to one of a first set of two brackets configured to attach to a first ceiling joist. The portable ceiling joist support system can also include a second shaft equipped with a second slot and a second aperture, wherein each end of the second shaft is attached to one of a second set of two brackets configured to attach to a second ceiling joist.
