Abstract: An improved brake pad spreader tool has a screw rod separating an impingement plate and an impingement cap. An actuator is affixed to the proximal end and has a polygonal handle portion forming a hand grip and a female receiving socket at a rotational center point of the hand grip. The female receiving socket forms a rectangular recess adapted for attachment to a drive rod of a ratchet wrench or pneumatic impact tool.
