  • Patent number: 12217830
Abstract: The disclosure provides methods for estimating tumor purity from tumor samples without use of matched-normal controls. A set of genomic regions are identified based on a nucleic acid sequence data that is aligned to a reference genome. Each genomic region of the set of genomic regions includes one or more nucleotide-sequence variants relative to a corresponding genomic region of the reference genome. A B-allele frequency distribution for the biological sample is determined based on a B-allele frequency determined for each genomic region of the set of genomic regions. The B-allele frequency distribution is processed using a trained machine-learning model to estimate a metric identifying tumor purity in the biological sample.

  • Publication number: 20240422017
Abstract: Embodiments are generally directed to managing power consumption of powered devices. In some embodiments, the powered devices draw power from a common source of power, which is limited. Under certain circumstances, exceeding the power limits can cause interruption of power to one or more of the devices, thus introducing a source of communication failures. To ensure reliable communications, an attempt to increase a power consumption of a first powered device in a power group is first reviewed to determine if the increase will cause a supplied power of the group to exceed a maximum power of the group. If the increase will cause the maximum power to be exceeded, the increase is modified, in some circumstances, to fit within the maximum power level. Alternatively, power consumption of a lower priority device is reduced to accommodate the requested power consumption increase.

  • Publication number: 20240257913
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for processing and/or analyzing nucleic acid sequencing data comprises receiving a first data input and a second data input. The first data input comprises untargeted sequencing data generated from a first nucleic acid sample obtained from a subject. The second data input comprises target-specific sequencing data generated from a second nucleic acid sample obtained from the subject. Next, with the aid of a computer processor, the first data input and the second data input are combined to produce a combined data set. Next, an output derived from the combined data set is generated. The output is indicative of the presence or absence of one or more polymorphisms of the first nucleic acid sample and/or the second nucleic acid sample.

  • Publication number: 20240207106
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to absorbent articles, and, more particularly, to absorbent articles that provide improvements in the containment of bodily fluid secretions. The fluid containment improvements are the result of adding one or more absorbent barriers at one or both of the longitudinally distal ends of the absorbent core. Adding absorbent barrier(s) that partially overlap the absorbent core to absorbent articles may decrease fluid leakage at the front, back, or both waist areas of the user. The absorbent barrier(s) may improve the comfort of the user during nap time, overnight, or whenever the user is lying on their back or stomach. The absorbent barrier may be formed of an airlaid material.

  • Patent number: 11863585
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods are provided. Event information associated with a plurality of events may be identified. The plurality of events may be associated with first entities corresponding to a first entity type and second entities associated with a second entity type. A first network profile associated with the first entities and the second entities may be generated based upon the event information. An iterative process may be performed to identify a coalition network associated with fraudulent activity. The iterative process may include analyzing the first network profile to identify a first set of entities, of the first entities, that are related to an entity of the second entities, and/or analyzing the first network profile to identify a second set of entities, of the second entities, that are related to the first set of entities. Multiple iterations may be performed to identify the coalition network.

  • Publication number: 20230340958
Abstract: A system for noise and vibration management of a smoke evacuation system includes a pump that compresses air and produces a pressure differential within an airflow path. The pump may be a sealed, positive displacement pump. The system includes vibration absorption mechanisms disposed between inner and outer housings, as well as on the outside surface of the outer housing. Methods of controlling and regulating a motor of the system to preserve the lifespan of the motor and maintain consistent airflow rates throughout the smoke evacuation system include varying a supply of electrical current to the motor so that it can operate at variable performance levels. Orifices are opened and closed in order to relieve resistance pressures within the airflow path due to clogging and blockages.

  • Patent number: 11726224
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a pressure in an annulus between an inner casing and an outer casing. An acoustic transducer is disposed within the casing at a selected depth within the inner casing and is configured to generate an acoustic pulse and receive a reflection of the acoustic pulse from the inner casing. A time of flight is measured of the acoustic pulse to the inner surface of the inner casing. An inner diameter of the inner casing is determined from the time of flight. The pressure in the annulus is determined from the inner diameter. A processor can be used to measure time and determine inner diameter and annulus pressure.
