The ballistic resistant wall support may include two such pockets and may be used in a wall system incorporating other ballistic resistant components, such as wall panels, doors, door frames, and/or other components. In such wall systems, the ballistic resistant wall support may include ballistic resistant material that spans a gap between ballistic resistant material of adjacent wall panels received in the pockets of the wall support to provide a continuous ballistic resistant barrier.
