    Abstract: A data file management and vending system includes a plurality of kiosks configured to permit a user to make a data file selection from a collection of such data files and pay for the data file selection, a network operations center including a storage system for storing the collection and at least one server for processing requests for data files and communicating data files to kiosks, and a management system comprising at least a kiosk management system configured to control the flow of data files and to collect information concerning the data files selected. Each of the plurality of kiosks includes a user interface device, a central processing unit, storage, means for transferring the selected data files onto a medium. The network interconnects through links the network operations center, the kiosks, and the management system.
