  • Publication number: 20190258823
Abstract: In various embodiments, a Data Model Adaptive Execution System may be configured to take one or more suitable actions to remediate an identified risk in view of one or more regulations (e.g., one or more legal regulations, one or more binding corporate rules, etc.). For example, in order to ensure compliance with one or more standards related to the collection and/or storage of personal data, an entity may be required to modify one or more aspects of a way in which the entity collects, stores, and/or otherwise processes personal data (e.g., in response to a change in a legal or other requirement). In order to identify whether a particular change or other risk trigger requires remediation, the system may be configured to assess a relevance of the risk posed by the risk and identify one or more processing activities or data assets that may be affected by the risk.

  • Publication number: 20190256041
Abstract: A buckle, such as a vehicle seat belt buckle, operable between a buckled and unbuckled condition. A sensor integrated circuit in the buckle senses the buckled or unbuckled condition of the buckle and generates an electrical signal indicative of the buckled or unbuckled condition of the buckle. A RF integrated circuit in the buckle and in the form of a microcontroller integrated circuit with an RF signal transmitter receives the electrical signal generated by the sensor integrated circuit and transmits an RF signal indicative of the buckled or unbuckled condition of the buckle to a vehicle's control unit via an RF signal antenna in the buckle. A battery in the buckle provides power to the sensor and RF integrated circuits.

  • Publication number: 20190254719
Abstract: Implementations described herein include devices and systems for attenuation of increased spinal flexion loads post-fusion that include a transition member. The transition member may have a tension component coupleable to a fused vertebra of a plurality of fused vertebra of a fusion implant and to an adjacent unfused vertebra. The tension component may be tensionable to a selected value. The tension component may modulate a flexion range of motion of the adjacent unfused vertebra as a function of the selected value of tension of the tension component. The transition member may attenuate spinal flexion loads on adjacent unfused vertebra post-operatively.

  • Publication number: 20190258848
Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing health monitoring based on changes in body dimensions derived from images of a human collected over long periods of time are presented herein. An image based medical diagnosis system precisely measures body dimensions, changes in body dimensions over time, or both, and identifies whether any measured dimensions, changes in dimensions, or both, have exceeded one or more threshold values indicative of the onset or recurrence of a medically significant condition. In another further aspect, an alert is communicated to medical professionals to further investigate the medical condition of the human user. In one aspect, body dimensions are estimated based on a known value of a reference dimension identifiable in each of the plurality of images. In some examples, the distance between facial features in an image is normalized with respect to the measured inter-pupillary distance associated with that image.

  • Publication number: 20190258859
Abstract: A system uses an optical sensor and an image processing apparatus to map emerged plants in a field. The optical sensor collects at least one image of a field of emerged plants. The image processing apparatus analyzes the image to detect areas of vegetation and creates a vegetation map indicative of the detected areas. The image processing element then analyzes the vegetation map to identify emerged plants within the image and creates at least map indicating locations of the emerged plants in the field. Such map may be used to make efficient crop management decisions based on the actual layout of emerged plants in the field.
