Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter describes the use of fluorinated elastomer-based materials, in particular perfluoropolyether (PFPE)-based materials, in high-resolution soft or imprint lithographic applications, such as micro- and nanoscale replica molding, and the first nano-contact molding of organic materials to generate high fidelity features using an elastomeric mold. Accordingly, the presently disclosed subject matter describes a method for producing free-standing, isolated nanostructures of any shape using soft or imprint lithography technique.

Abstract: An atomic force microscope is provided having a controller configured to store one or more positional parameters output by a sensor assembly when a light spot is located at a first preset position on the surface of the cantilever. The controller is further configured to operate an actuator assembly so as to induce movement of the spot away from the first preset position, to detect said movement of the first spot based on a change in the one or more positional parameters output by the sensor assembly, and to operate an optical assembly in response to the detected movement of the first spot to return the first spot to the first preset position.

Embodiments of the present disclosure receive a training image and a caption for the training image, wherein the caption includes text describing an object in the training image; generate a pseudo mask for the object using a teacher network based on the text describing the object; generate a mask for the object using a student network; and update parameters of the student network based on the mask and the pseudo mask.

Abstract: The present application describes an automated inventory control system that comprises a storage device, a sensing system, a data storage, and one or more processors. The storage device includes a plurality of storage locations for storing objects. The sensing system is configured to associate the storage device with a first location and with a second location. The data storage is configured to store configurable data of the storage device. The one or more processors are configured to send configurable data corresponding to the first location to the storage device in response to receiving information associating the storage device with the first location from the sensing system. In response to receiving information associating the storage device with the second location from the sensing system, the one or more processors are configured to send configurable data corresponding to the second location to the storage device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for securing data processing systems are disclosed. A data processing system may be operably connected to other devices via ports. When operably connected, some devices connected via the ports may cause undesired actions to be performed. To limit physical access to the ports, a security apparatus may be used to lock the ports. The security apparatus may transition between states where it may be inserted into openings for the ports and may be locked to the openings for the ports. When so locked, physical access to the ports may be limited.

The guide pin clamp has a forward clamp portion, a rearward clamp portion configured to engage the biasing spring and a guide pin retaining plate. The forward clamp portion and the rearward clamp portion move relative to one another to also move guide pin retaining plate from a first position to a second position to allow for the removal or insertion of guide pins.

Abstract: Disclosed are processes and techniques for a correction factor determination process for determining a correction factor for delivering a drug to a patient via a drug delivery device. For example, for an insulin delivery device, the disclosed techniques enable adjustment of the patient’s correction factor in real time based on the deviation of the patient’s glucose concentrations against clinically recommended targets. For example, a method for determining a correction factor may include determining an insulin action (Iaction) for a patient over a duration, the insulin action representing a total insulin metabolized, determining glucose information for the patient over the duration, the glucose information representing glucose activity, and determining an estimated correction factor (CFest) based on (glucose information) / (insulin action) for the duration. Abstract: There is provided a system that comprises an IP-routed interregional distribution network, and a user-network interface (UNI) that employs (a) a first virtual broadcast domain (VBD), (b) a second VBD, (c) a virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN), and (d) a protocol transformation stack. The UNI is adapted for layer 2 connection to a user device via the first VBD, and adapted for layer 3 communication over the IP-routed interregional distribution network via the VXLAN. The protocol transformation stack is adapted to convert a layer 2 broadcast domain to/from an IP-routable form by mapping the first VBD to the second VBD, and encapsulating the second VBD into the VXLAN.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing mobile call authentication. For instance, a token indicative of a call request can be received from a calling party. The token can include a called party number and a time of the request. A subscriber database can be accessed to determine identifying information associated with the calling party based at least in part on the token. The token can be authenticated based at least in part on the identifying information and using one or more predefined authentication protocols. The token can be stored in a call session registry storing data indicative of a plurality of active telephone call events. A verification request for the call request can be received from the called party. The call request can be verified based at least in part on the token. The called party can be notified that the call request has been verified.

Abstract: A modular platform for configuring gutter guard systems is disclosed and claimed herein. Such gutter guard systems are designed and arranged to be positioned across the opening of a rain gutter to prevent debris from entering the rain gutter. The modular platform includes a number of interchangeable components. Select interchangeable components can be assembled to form a gutter guard system for use with a specific rain gutter based on the rain gutter's style, size, color and the mechanism used to secure the rain gutter to a structure and/or roofline. In one embodiment, the components of a modular platform for configuring gutter guard systems include a number of main bodies, a front receiver, a number of rear receivers, a number of screens, and a clip.

Abstract: A claw system for mechanical coupling a railcar mover to a railcar is disclosed herein. The claw assembly may comprise a set of arms and a set of claws each mounted on the interior side of one of the set of arms. When a railcar adjacent to a railcar mover on a set of tracks is positioned within a proximity of the railcar mover, the claw assembly may be utilized to grasp the air hose of the adjacent railcar. For example, the set of arms may be attached to the railcar mover via a motorized rail upon which the set of arms may be configured to move axially toward each other in a direction perpendicular to the tracks, thereby causing the claws to move toward each other and close around the air hose of the adjacent railcar. The claws may include openings configured to grasp the air hose.
