  • Publication number: 20230020753
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for refresh address masking. A memory device may refresh word lines as part of refresh operation by cycling through the word lines in a sequence. However, it may be desirable to avoid activating certain word lines (e.g., because they are defective). Refresh masking logic for each bank may include a fuse latch which stores a selected address associated with a word line to avoid. When a refresh address is generated it may be compared to the selected address. If there is a match, a refresh stop signal may be activated, which may prevent refreshing of the word line(s).

  • Publication number: 20230016494
Abstract: A discrete and safe automated insect monitoring system includes a housing, an interior chamber within the housing, and a light source arranged within the housing to illuminate at least a portion of a floor surface of the interior chamber. A multi-pixel optical sensor is arranged within the housing so that a field of view of the sensor comprehends a substantial portion of the floor surface. A processing circuit arranged within the housing receives optical data from the multi-pixel optical sensor, analyzes the optical data to detect the intrusion of an insect or other object into the interior chamber by comparing most recently received optical data to previously received optical data, and generates an indication in response to detecting the intrusion of an insect or other object. Detection and/or classification results can be wirelessly forwarded to another device, to alert appropriate personnel.

  • Publication number: 20230020061
Abstract: A virtual visor system is disclosed that includes a visor having a plurality of independently operable pixels that are selectively operated with a variable opacity. A camera captures images of the face of a driver or other passenger and, based on the captured images, a controller operates the visor to automatically and selectively darken a limited portion thereof to block the sun or other illumination source from striking the eyes of the driver, while leaving the remainder of the visor transparent. The visor system advantageously predicts future positions of the head or eyes of the driver when the driver’s head is in motion. Based on the predictions, the optical state of the visor is updated proactively to anticipate future movements of head of the driver. In this way, some of the negative effects of measurement and processing latencies are mitigated when responding to rapid head motions.

Abstract: Disclosed are various approaches for signing documents using mobile devices. A request is sent to a certificate authority for a signing certificate. The signing certificate is then received from the certificate authority. The signing certificate is then stored in the memory. Next, a file is received from a client application executed by the processor of the computing device. Then, the file is signed with the signing certificate to create a signed file. The signed file is then returned to the client application.
