  • Patent number: 12263100
Abstract: A device (10) for collecting and processing bone fragments is disclosed. The device comprises a chamber member (12), a press member (14), an intake port (16), and a vacuum port (18). A compression surface (20) and a filter support surface (22) configured to support a filter are defined by said chamber and/or press member. The intake port is on the chamber and/or press member and is configured to receive a composition comprising bone fragments. The vacuum port is on the chamber and/or press member. The chamber member and the press member are rotationally coupled with one another. The composition is acquired through the intake port and collected between the compression surface and the filter support surface. The application of rotational force to the chamber and/or press member in a first direction moves the compression surface and the filter support surface together to compress the composition therebetween to compact, and further remove filtrate from the composition.

  • Patent number: 12259935
Abstract: A computing device executing software displays a view of a search assignment in a user interface to a learning platform. The device receives user input comprising search terms associated with the search assignment, and generates queries based on the user input. The device submits the queries to a search engine, whereupon the search engine performs searches based on the queries, and the device displays the results. As a user evaluates resources provided in the results, the device updates the user interface to include an option selectable for adding evaluated ones of the resources to a collection of resources for the search assignment. In response to the user selecting the option with respect to a resource of the evaluated ones of the resources, the device adds the resource to the collection of resources.

  • Publication number: 20240081797
Abstract: Mechanisms are disclosed for securing a catheter in place to facilitate puncturing a hole through a vessel wall. The securing mechanisms include mechanically releasing arms that press against the wall of the vessel. The mechanically releasing arms are advanced out of the catheter. Outside of the catheter, the securing mechanisms angle or curve toward the vessel wall to contact the wall. The more the mechanically releasing arms are advanced, the closer the approach to the wall and the more force placed against the wall to anchor the catheter in place. The mechanically releasing arms include a plurality of wires that angle or curve toward the vessel wall when deployed, one or more wires that coil away from the catheter to contact the vessel wall when deployed, or a stopper arm with a curved endcap that contacts the vessel wall when deployed.

  • Publication number: 20240050717
Abstract: Mechanisms are disclosed for securing a catheter in place to facilitate puncturing a hole through a vessel wall. The securing mechanisms include bubbles, meshes, flaps, or similar features that expand when activated to press against the wall of the vessel (e.g., coronary sinus). Activation of the securing mechanisms occurs through removal of a restraint (e.g., a cover) or by pushing or pulling a wire. The securing mechanisms activated by removal of a restraint may self-expand or may expand due to a spring within a mesh structure. The securing mechanisms activated by pushing or pulling a wire expand due to movement of the wire itself or due to movement of a component attached to the wire and to the anchor member.

  • Patent number: RE50344
Abstract: An asset tracking system includes a camera adapted to capture images and output signals representative of the images. The camera may include one or more depth sensors that detect distances between the depth sensor and objects positioned within the field of view of the one or more cameras. A computer device processes the image signals and or depth signals from cameras and determines any one or more of the following: (a) whether a patient care protocol has been properly followed; (b) what condition a patient is in; (c) whether an infection control protocol has been properly followed; and (d) whether steps have been taken to reduce the risk of a patient from falling. Alerts may be issued if any conditions of importance are detected.
