Abstract: A device receives a transaction request concerning a transaction and a transaction card from a transaction terminal, and determines, based on the transaction request, information concerning the transaction card. The device sends, based on the transaction request and to a user device, a query concerning possession of the transaction card by a user of the user device, where the query includes an instruction for the user to confirm possession of the transaction card via a component of the user device. The device receives, from the user device and after sending the query to the user device, a response concerning possession of the transaction card by the user, and determines, based on the response and the information concerning the transaction card, whether the user has possession of the transaction card. The device performs, based on determining whether the user has possession of the transaction card, at least one action.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to copying data to a clipboard of a mobile device from a contactless card using NFC. A mobile device may issue a request to read data from the contactless card. The contactless card may generate encrypted data in response to the request. The mobile device may receive the encrypted data via NFC and transmit the encrypted data to a server for verification. The server may verify the encrypted data and transmit an indication of an account number for the contactless card to the mobile device. The mobile device may then copy the account number to a clipboard of the mobile device.

Abstract: A method for providing a gift includes receiving gift information comprising data indicative of a gift type, a maximum gift amount, a gift recipient, and a first financial account from a first computing device associated with a gifter and via a software application. The first financial account being associated with the gifter and the gift recipient having preregistered user account with the software application. The method includes identifying one or more recipient financial accounts associated with the gift recipient including at least a second financial account. The method includes identifying a gift-eligible transaction that is associated with the second financial account by monitoring transaction data associated with the one or more recipient financial accounts. The method includes transmitting a gift notification to a second computing device and outputting an instruction to initiate a transfer of a gift amount from the first financial account to the second financial account.

Abstract: A method for providing a gift includes receiving a gift token creation request representative of a selection of a gift recipient and gift limitations from a first computing device. The method includes generating a tokenized PAN associated with a gift account and transmitting the tokenized PAN and gift limitations to a second computing device. The method includes detecting a transaction authorization request that is representative of an attempted transaction at a merchant POS device based on monitoring of transaction authorization data originating from a plurality of merchant POS devices. The transaction authorization request represents an attempted tokenized PAN, an attempted transaction amount and a merchant code. The method includes determining that the attempted tokenized PAN matches the tokenized PAN associated with the gift account.

Abstract: A method for providing a locked electronic item includes receiving a selection of an electronic lock and the electronic item from a first computing device associated with a sender. The electronic lock includes a lock clue and a lock solution. The method includes determining an answer input field configuration that includes a number of input boxes and spaces that may be arranged to correspond to the lock solution. The method includes transmitting the lock clue and the input field configuration to a second computing device associated with a recipient for display by the second computing device and receiving an attempted lock solution from the second computing device. The method further includes transmitting the electronic item to the second computing device for display or use by the second computing device in response to determining that the attempted lock solution matches the lock solution.
