Publication number: 20230028472Abstract: In one example, a method of designing a drill bit comprises obtaining a baseline orientation of a shaped cutter with respect to a bit body. The shaped cutter includes a shaped cutting element secured to a substrate. The baseline orientation is defined, at least in part, with respect to an rotational position of the shaped cutting element about a longitudinal axis of the shaped cutter. A wear imbalance is determined between opposing portions of the shaped cutting element at the baseline orientation. An adjusted orientation of the shaped cutter is generated having a different rotational position of the shaped cutting element about the cutter axis expected to reduce the wear imbalance.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2022Publication date: January 26, 2023Applicant: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: William Brian Atkins, Ryan Joseph Murphy, Carlos Fernando Galarraga Canizares, Jason Kent Bratcher

Publication number: 20220327830Abstract: Data processing systems and methods are disclosed for combining video content with one or more augmentations to produce augmented video. Objects within video content may have associated bounding boxes that may each be associated with respective RGB values. Upon user selection of a pixel, the RGBA value of the pixel may be used to determine a bounding box associated with the RGBA value. The client may transmit an indicator of the determined bounding box to an augmentation system to request augmentation data for the object associated with the bounding box. The system then uses the indicator to determine the augmentation data and transmits the augmentation data to the client device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2022Publication date: October 13, 2022Inventors: Yu-Han Chang, Rajiv Tharmeswaran Maheswaran, Jeffrey Wayne Su, Emil Dotchevski, Jason Kent Simon

Publication number: 20220159910Abstract: Provided herein is a computer-implemented method of managing plant data. The method includes storing first plant data on a user device connected to a server. The first plant data relates to growth of a plant in a first grower device. The method also includes collecting second plant data related to growth of the plant in a second grower device. The second grower device is for growth of the plant moved from the first grower device. The second plant data is collected by the second grower device. The method also includes transferring the first plant data and the second plant data to the server. The method also includes displaying the first plant data and the second plant data on the user device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 24, 2021Publication date: May 26, 2022Inventors: Bjorn Dawson, Jason Kent, Stephen Campbell, Bruno Alfano-Rizzo

Patent number: 8233887Abstract: A wireless communication device comprises a user interface, a memory, a wireless communication interface, and a processing system. The wireless communication interface is configured to wirelessly receive a message. The processing system is configured to direct the memory to store the message. The processing system is configured to drive the user interface to display the message, display a message redaction indicator, and responsively receive a message redaction instruction. The processing system is configured to redact a portion of the message responsive to the message redaction instruction and direct the memory to store the redacted portion of the message. The processing system is configured to drive the user interface to display the message without the redacted portion, display a message recovery indicator, and responsively receive a message recovery instruction.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2010Date of Patent: July 31, 2012Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Jason Kent Whitney, Jason R. Delker

Patent number: 8190128Abstract: A method and system are described for operating a source communication device. The source communication device receives a first request from a user through a user interface requesting a first communication session with a target communication device. The source communication device transfers a first signal to a network requesting the first communication session with the target communication device, wherein the target communication device provides an overt communication alert for the first communication session. The source communication device receives a second request from the user requesting a second communication session requesting that the target communication device provide a covert communication alert for the second communication session.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2009Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L. P.Inventors: Michael T. Lundy, Jason Kent Whitney, Jason R. Delker, John Michael Everson

Patent number: 8190126Abstract: A communication device having a secret mode enters the secret mode in response to receiving a secret mode access key. In the secret mode, the communication device receives a first instruction to handle a covert communication source in the secret mode. The communication device receives a second instruction to exit the secret mode. After exiting the secret mode, and in response to the first instruction, the communication device provides a covert communication alert for an incoming communication from the covert communication source. The communication device provides overt communication alerts for incoming communications from overt communication sources.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2008Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Jason Kent Whitney, Michael T.
