Abstract: A resource description framework transcoder repository includes an interface, a resource manager and at least one resource description framework transcoder. The interface receives indicia of a first metadata scheme used to receive digital assets. The resource manager identifies digital assets stored under the same and different metadata schemes. When the first metadata scheme does not match the identified metadata scheme, the resource manager accesses an appropriately configured resource description framework transcoder. The resource description framework transcoder translates metadata associated with digital assets from the identified metadata scheme to the first metadata scheme thus exposing the digital assets.

Abstract: A method of unit testing of a component selected from the group consisting of applications and server implementations for response relative to the WebDAV protocol is provided. The method comprises providing a WebDAV unit testing framework and providing a WebDAV compliance utility containing a suite of unit tests. The method further comprises applying a unit test from the suite to the component under test via the unit-testing framework, and comparing the response of the component to the applied unit test with a standard unit test response stored in memory.

The method comprises, at a Java™ Virtual Machine (JVM), configuring a WebDAV protocol handler for handling HTTP URL requests. The method further comprises invoking a WebDAV URL connection, allowing a client making a URL request to connect to a WebDAV-compliant server, connecting the client to the WebDAV-compliant server via the WebDAV URL connection; and allowing the connected client to execute WebDAV methods via the WebDAV URL connection.

Abstract: A website test system includes an interface and a test engine. The interface receives a test specification encoded in an extensible markup language. Abstract: A method that conforms to a Java™ Connector Architecture (JCA) specification for accessing WebDAV-compliant servers as enterprise resources is provided. The method comprises providing a WebDAV-compliant connector communicating with a multilayer resource adapter API, and creating a SAX-based processing pipeline. The method further comprises processing property values using the processing pipeline, using a MultiStatus Response Record to map a resource URL to a set of properties, and implementing accessor methods for marshaling property values to and from an XML format. The method further comprises using the processed property values to enable transmitting WebDAV messages between a client and a server.

Embodiments provide a computer program product comprising code for defining servlets for providing generic interfaces with respect to a plurality of WebDAV methods. Further, embodiments provide a plurality of WebDAV servlets having generic interfaces with respect to a plurality of WebDAV methods, and provide generic interfaces with respect a plurality of HTTP extensions not specifically directed to WebDAV.

The system comprises a means for receiving a request for a WebDAV method from a client via a non-WebDAV protocol, and a means for invoking the requested WebDAV method responsive to a received request.
