  • Patent number: 10705581
Abstract: For controlling device performance based on temperature differential, an apparatus includes a plurality of sensors positioned at different locations of the apparatus, a controller, and a memory that stores code executable by the controller. The controller determines a plurality of temperatures using the plurality of sensors. Here, each temperature corresponds to a different location of the apparatus. The controller calculates a temperature differential for the apparatus using the plurality of temperatures. The controller maintains device performance in response to the temperature differential being within a threshold amount and throttles device performance in response to the temperature differential exceeding the threshold amount.

  • Patent number: 10614771
Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for managing image quality of an electronic display. The method includes identifying a visual content encoded in a first color space that is to be presented on an electronic display. The method further includes identifying, for the electronic display, a color profile that specifies color tristimulus values for the electronic display that are expressed as a function of temperature. The method further includes determining a current temperature of the electronic display and applying the color profile to the visual content to create a modified visual content for presentation on the electronic display. The method further includes rendering the modified visual content by the electronic display and adjusting, during rendering of the modified visual content, the color tristimulus values of the modified visual content in real-time based on the current temperature.

  • Patent number: 10254636
Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for reducing heat generated during projection of visual content. The method includes determining a temperature of at least one light emitter that projects a visual content based on calibration data. The method further includes determining, by a processor, whether the temperature exceeds a temperature threshold. The method further includes calculating, by the processor, at least one adjustment that reduces a level of heat generated by the at least one light emitter during projection of the visual content. The at least one adjustment overrides at least one portion of the calibration data. The method further includes applying the at least one adjustment to the at least one light emitter and modulating the at least one light emitter to project the visual content in accordance with the at least one adjustment applied to the calibration data.

  • Publication number: 20140113673
Abstract: A wireless communication method with a push to talk feature (300) and PTT module (400), are disclosed. The method (300) can include: providing (310) a wireless communication device including a receptacle for a function not necessarily related to PTT; detecting (320) a trigger signal that a push to talk accessory has been connected to the receptacle; identifying (330) a signature of the push to talk accessory; and configuring (340) the wireless communication device with push to talk functionality, based on the identified signature of the push to talk accessory. Advantageously, the method (300) and module (400) provide a simple and robust way of connecting and operating a wireless communication device and PTT accessory.
