  • Patent number: 6514391
Abstract: An electroplating apparatus includes a plurality of feeding rollers adapted to advance a sheet-shaped article, and a spraying unit. The spraying unit has a pair of upper and lower casings, each of which includes a casing body defining a chamber, and a net plate disposed to confront with the article. An electrolyte is sprayed from the chamber via meshes in the net plate and onto a side surface of the article. An anode current-conducting assembly includes a conducting net that is disposed fixedly within the chamber and that is superimposed on the net plate so as to cover the meshes in the net plate, and two conducting units respectively in electrical contact with two opposite side portions of the conducting net so as to supply electric current to the conducting net.

  • Patent number: 6514392
Abstract: A conducting roller is used in an electroplating apparatus, and includes a conductive roller body, which has two diameter-reduced end portions that are journalled within two stationary conductive sleeve units. A conductive liquid is filled within two sealed gaps between the end portions of the roller body and the sleeve units, thereby transmitting cathode current from the conductive sleeve units to the end portions of the roller body.

  • Publication number: 20030000555
Abstract: A circuit board-washing device includes a pair of elongated upper and lower spraying casings located directly over and fixed relative to a tank, which contains a detergent that is forced into the casings. Each of the casings has a chamber and a horizontal wall, which is formed with two longitudinal rows of holes that are in fluid communication with the chamber. The walls of the casings define a washing space therebetween for movement of a horizontal circuit board therethrough in a transverse direction of the casings. The space is slightly wider than the board. The detergent is sprayed from the casings onto the board via the holes, and subsequently falls into the tank for recycle.

  • Publication number: 20030000832
Abstract: A roller assembly for an electroplating apparatus includes a plurality of feeding rollers adapted to advance a sheet-shaped workpiece, and a threaded rod disposed parallel to the feeding rollers and having a left-hand thread portion and a right-hand thread portion. Two guiding members are respectively formed with two threaded holes, which engage the left-hand and right-hand thread portions of the rod. A sensing unit detects the width of the workpiece to activate a controller and a driving unit, which rotates the rod so as to move the guiding members in opposite directions such that the guiding members abut against two opposite sides of the workpiece, thereby guiding the workpiece to move therebetween. Two conducting units are attached respectively to the guiding members for supplying cathode current to the sides of the workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20020179437
Abstract: A conducting roller assembly for an electroplating apparatus includes two conducting rollers arranged one above another so as to clamp and move a plate-shaped workpiece therebetween. The rollers are disposed intimately over one of two conducting members, and under the other one of the members. Each of the members is connected to two opposite sides of the respective one of the rollers by means of two horizontal rows of equidistant conducting posts. Each of the posts has one end that is fixed to and that is in electrical connection with a respective one of the members, and another end that is biased to contact the respective one of the rollers so as to establish an electrical connection between the respective one of the members and the respective one of the rollers.
