  • Patent number: 10589162
Abstract: A sports ball for communicating to an external electronic device various parameters related to an impact with a sporting implement, such as a golf club. The sports ball comprises an outer resilient shell within that is contained a resilient core. An electronic circuit comprises at least one sensor, a transmitter, optionally a light-emitting diode, and a power source. The electronic circuit is cushioned from the impact of the sporting implement by the resilient core. The electronic circuit is adapted for communicating sensor data to the external electronic device via the transmitter. The at least one sensor is taken from the group of sensors comprising: a GPS receiver, a multi-axis accelerometer, an orientation sensor, an altitude sensor, and a microphone. The transmitter may be an RFID chip that passively transfers data from the at least one sensor and a unique ID number of the sports ball.

  • Patent number: 10099102
Abstract: A sensor system for detecting aspects of a person's swing of a sporting implement having proximal and distal ends displays the aspects of the person's swing on a portable electronic device. The system includes a distal enclosure, a proximal enclosure, and a software application resident on the portable electronic device. The proximal and distal enclosures are fixable with the proximal and distal ends, respectively, of the sporting implement, and two additional hip enclosures may be include for fixing with the person's hips. Each enclosure includes a power source that powers a sensing circuit having at least one sensor and a transmitter. The software application is adapted to receive the sensor data from the sensing circuits and display aspects of the person's swing on a display thereof as derived from the sensor data. Embodiments adapted for use with golf clubs, sporting racquets, and baseball bats are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050214412
Abstract: A prepackaged sweetener packet containing one or more nutritional supplements. The nutritional supplements can be in the form of dry powders or granular material that is dispersed throughout the sweetener, which dissolves when mixed with a beverage. Another optional multi-chamber packet separates the sweetener from the nutritional supplement during storage. When the packet is opened for use with a beverage, both the sweetener and the nutritional supplements can be simultaneously poured into the beverage. A conventional paper structure can be used for dry sweeteners and nutritional supplements, or the water impermeable material can be used to store moist or liquid sweeteners and nutritional supplements.
