  • Patent number: 10547990
Abstract: The DYNAMIC ADAPTABLE ENVIRONMENT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT CONTROLLER APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“DAERMC”) transforms various user, component and environment inputs into responsive environment outputs. In some implementations, the DAERMC allows users to manage a plurality of locations via mobile electronic devices (e.g., electronic mobile devices, resource management devices, and/or the like), and may be able to integrate and provide a plurality of information from said devices, including location data, current and projected weather data, current and future resource usage data, messages and/or like notifications, resource usage schedules, resource usage reports, resource usage settings, overrides, and/or the like.

  • Patent number: 9129603
Abstract: A foolproof method of adding network-enabled energy control devices to a home energy device control network by associating an easy-to-remember catchphrase composed of ordinary words with a unique MAC address or EUI identifier of the network-enabled device. The device manufacturer associates a unique catchphrase with each device and stores the catchphrases and associated MAC addresses in a database along with the device information required to commission the device onto the user's network. When the user enters the catchphrase, the catchphrase is sent to the manufacturer's server for retrieving the MAC address and corresponding device information. When a valid catchphrase is entered and accepted, the device can be commissioned onto the user's network.

  • Patent number: 8738158
Abstract: A lighting system controller is provided that is adapted to configure a plurality of lighting controllers using a set of common configuration information referred to as a template. According to one example, the lighting system controller is configured to maintain a set of templates and to track associations between templates and elements of a lighting control system that are managed by the lighting system controller. Examples of managed elements include lighting controllers and configurable objects resident within the lighting controllers.

  • Patent number: 8732689
Abstract: A lighting system controller is provided that is adapted to upgrade a lighting controller with a software component having multiple upgrade dependencies. According to one example, the lighting system controller is configured to generate an upgrade plan based on the current configuration of the lighting controller and the upgrade dependencies associated with the software component. Further, according to this example, the lightings system controller executes the upgrade plan to install the software upon with the software component is dependent prior to installing the software component.

  • Patent number: 8370722
Abstract: A lighting system controller is provided that is configured to automatically synchronize a lighting controller with a centralized configuration. In a particular example, this automatic synchronization activity may include modifying the configuration of the lighting controller to match configuration information stored locally on the lighting system controller. Conversely, this automatic synchronization activity may include modifying the locally stored configuration information to match the current configuration of the lighting controller. In some examples, the lighting system controller is configured to use cyclic redundancy checks when determining whether to modify configuration information.

  • Publication number: 20110134794
Abstract: A lighting system controller is provided that is configured to automatically discover lighting controllers. In a particular example, the lighting system controller is configured to scan a network for lighting controllers that match a set of search criteria. According to this example, the lighting system controller is configured to present any such discovered lighting controllers to a user in a user interface. In this example, the user interface includes elements configured to allow a user to designate one or more of the discovered lighting controllers for centralized management.
