    Abstract: An orthopaedic surgical instrument including a shaft including a head sized to be received in the socket of a medical device is disclosed. The orthopaedic surgical instrument includes a retaining flange that is rotatable relative to the head about an axis between a first position in which a tip of the retaining flange is aligned with the head and a second position in which the tip of the retaining flange is received in one of a number of apertures of the medical device when the head of the shaft is received in the socket of the medical device. A system and method including the orthopaedic surgical instrument are also disclosed.
