  • Publication number: 20230084032
Abstract: An inventory system configured for detecting and counting potentially retained surgical items within a body of a patient includes an RFID tag configured to transmit a return signal at a frequency when energized, a signal generator configured to generate an energizing signal for the RFID tag, an antenna operably coupled to the signal generator, the antenna configured to receive a return signal transmitted by the RFID tag, an imaging device configured to capture an image, a processor, and a memory. The memory includes instructions stored thereon, which when executed by the processor cause the system to energize the RFID tag, receive the return signal from the antenna, receive the image of the area including the portion of the body of the patient from the imaging device, and determine a spatial location of the RFID tag.

  • Patent number: 11376067
Abstract: A connector assembly is provided. The connector assembly includes a housing having a first end that includes one or more mechanical interfaces thereon. The at least one mechanical interface configured to selectively engage a corresponding mechanical interface on an electrosurgical generator. A second end is configured to selectively engage an end of an electrosurgical cable to couple the electrosurgical generator to an electrosurgical instrument. A plurality of splines extends along an interior of the housing and is configured for electrical communication with a plurality of corresponding electrical conductors of the electrosurgical cable.

  • Publication number: 20210267692
Abstract: A method of performing robotic surgery includes determining a distance between a first surgical instrument and a second surgical instrument in a surgical operative site, comparing the determined distance between the first and second surgical instruments with a threshold distance, generating an alert based on the comparison between the determined distance and the threshold distance, displaying a visual representation of the surgical operative site on a display, and displaying the alert overlaid on the displayed visual representation of the surgical operative site and in proximity to a visual representation of the first and/or second surgical instruments on the display.
