  • Patent number: 11549626
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method of forming a cooling plate, comprises laser welding a plurality of weld lines to physically connect a first substrate and a second substrate wherein the plurality of weld lines forms an inflatable track; and inflating the inflatable track with an inflation fluid to form a cooling channel in the cooling plate. In another embodiment, the cooling plate can comprise a first substrate and a second substrate and a plurality of weld lines can form a fluid tight seal for a cooling channel located therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20220226676
Abstract: A respirator system includes a hood, a breathing tube, and an air purification device. The breathing tube is coupled to the hood and has an inner surface coated in an antimicrobial coating. The air purification device is coupled to the breathing tube and is further configured to deliver filtered air to the hood via the breathing tube. The air purification device includes a housing, a back pad, a filter, a fan, a power source, and a controller. The housing includes a front housing component and a rear housing component. The back pad is configured to provide a cushion between the rear housing component and the user's body. The fan is configured to pull ambient air through the filter and deliver the filtered air to the hood. The power source is configured to supply power to the fan. The controller is configured to regulate a speed of the fan.

  • Patent number: 11101509
Abstract: A cooling plate distributes a coolant for an electrical battery, and is defined by parallel first and second edges and parallel third and fourth edges. A coolant inlet is arranged at a junction between the first and fourth edges, and a coolant outlet arranged at a junction between the second and fourth edges. A first coolant channel is arranged along the first edge, in direct communication with the inlet, and a second coolant channel is arranged along the second edge, in direct communication with the outlet. First and second sets of coolant mini-channels are in direct communication with the second channel. A first coolant manifold, arranged proximate the third edge, is in direct communication with the first channel. A second coolant manifold, arranged proximate the fourth edge, is in direct communication with the inlet. The two manifolds are in communication with the outlet via the respective sets of mini-channels.

  • Patent number: 10971786
Abstract: A cell stack includes adjacent first and second battery cells respectively having a positive cell tab, a negative cell tab, and an outer surface. The outer surfaces are flush. The positive cell tab of the first battery cell protrudes from the outer surface of the first battery cell, and the negative cell tab of the second battery cell protrudes from the outer surface of the second battery cell. An isolative shield is positioned adjacent to the outer surfaces, and defines through-slots receiving therein a respective one of the cell tabs. A method includes providing the cell stack, inserting the cell tabs into the pair of through-slots of the isolative shield, positioning a primary surface of the isolative shield adjacent to the outer surfaces of the adjacent battery cells after inserting the cell tabs, and affixing the primary surface of the isolative shield to the cell stack.

  • Publication number: 20200227794
Abstract: In an embodiment, a cooling plate comprises a first substrate and a second substrate; wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are adhesively bonded via an adhesive layer; wherein a conduit is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate having an inlet and an outlet that forms a flow field for a coolant to flow through; wherein the adhesion layer forms a tight fluid seal to prevent leakage of the coolant from the conduit to a bonded region proximal to the conduit area between the first substrate and the second substrate.
